Hiram
King of Tyre took initiative to build David a house.
me about that Hiram, king of Tyre sent messengers to David, along with cedar,
carpenters and masons to build David a house. And David felt in his heart that
God had established his kingdom and had exalted him to rule over Israel for
Israel’s sake; and David took more wives and concubines out of Jerusalem and
begat more sons and daughters born to David, after he had come out of Hebron,
and the names of the sons born to him in Jerusalem were Shammua, Shobab, Nathan
and Solomon., Ibhar, Elishua, Nepheg, Japhia, Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphalet.
And when the Philistines heard that David had become king over all Israel, the
Philistines came against David and David heard the Philistines sought him and
he went down to the camp. And the Philistines spread themselves in the valley of
Raphaim, And David enquired of the Lord saying shall I go out against the
Philistines? Wilt thou deliver them into my hands? And the Lord told David to
go up as he would deliver the Philistines into his hand.
