BRAGADAYJAH 931
David gave to Mephibosheth all that pertained to Saul.
Having assured Mephibosheth a constant place at his table, king David
then called Ziba to him and told him that he had given all that pertained to
Saul his master and to his household to Mephibosheth.. Therefore he told Ziba,
he and his sons and his servants must till the land for him and shall gather in
the fruits thereof that his Master Mephibosheth should always have food to eat,
notwithstanding he had been invited to eat at the king’s table always. Ziba
himself and fifteen sons and twenty servants. Thereupon, Ziba pledged to the
king that he would do as he had been commanded to do. Mephibosheth then had a
young son whose name was Micha and all that lived in Ziba’s house were servants
to Mephibosheth; and he remained in Jerusalem and ate continually at King David’s
table.
