BRAGADAYJAH 319
The Lord revealed unto the
priests Aaron and his sons many things to look for, many different kinds of
outbreaks of the flesh which were signs of leprosy, including how to
differentiate between a leprous boil or skin infection which were non-leprous
and those which where in fact evidences of leprosy.
If a
person was leprous, that is to say all over the body including the head, then
he shall be declared a leper; and his clothes had to be torn, his head made
bare, and be made to dwell alone outside of the camp.
Also
if the sign of the plague is determined from certain spots on a person’s
garment, the priest shall also declare after examination, the wearer unclean
and the clothes burnt.
In
addition there was a law for the leper after he had been excluded from the
camp. The priest’s duty was to go outside of the camp and examine those who had
been declared lepers and excluded. If
upon examination the priest determined that the person was cleansed of his
sickness, the priest would command that there be taken for the leper, two birds
alive and clean, cedar wood, scarlet and hyssop. The priest shall then give
order for one of the birds to be killed in an earthen vessel over running
water. Then he would take the live bird, the cedar wood, the scarlet and the
hyssop, and shall dip them in the blood of the bird that was killed. More
