Having offered the goat as a sin
offering for the people, Moses next brought the meal offering and of it he took
a handful thereof and he burnt it upon the altar beside the burnt offering of
the morning. Then he slew the bullock and the ram for a sacrifice of peace
offering which was for the people. And his sons presented him with the blood
which he sprinkled round about the altar. And the fat of the bullock and of the
ram, the rump, and the fat which covered the inwards, the kidneys and the fat
which is above the liver, they put upon the breasts and burnt the fat upon the
altar.
And the breasts and the right
shoulder Aaron waved for a wave offering before the Lord as Moses had commanded
him to do. And Aaron lifted up his hand towards the people and blessed them and
came down from the altar of the offering for sin and the burnt offering and for
peace.
And Moses and Aaron went into the
tabernacle of the congregation and came out and blessed the people; and the
glory of God appeared unto all the people.
And there came a fire out from God,
and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat; and when all the
people saw the presence of the glory of God they gasped and fell on their
faces.
