The Lord God commanded Moses with
regard to the building of the Tabernacle and its appendages, and also with regard
to the law of burnt offerings and sacrifices and also directed the order for
presenting the same unto Him
And the Lord also gave command to
Moses regarding the anointing of Aaron and his sons as priests and also with
regard of the priestly garments. So now
he gives commands as follows to Moses.
“Take Aaron and his sons with him,
and the anointing oil, and a bullock for the sin offering, two rams and a
basket of unleavened bread. Gather all
the congregation together at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation and
say unto them, this is the thing which the Lord commanded to be done. “
Then Moses brought Aaron and his
sons and washed them with water. And he put upon Aaron the coat and girded him
with the girdle and clothes him with the robe and put the ephod upon him, and
he girded him with the beautifully woven girdle of the ephod and bound it upon
him. Next he put the breastplate upon him; and he put the miter upon his head
and in the front of the miter the golden plate, the holy crown as the Lord commanded
him. And Moses took the anointing oil
and anointed the tabernacle and all within and sanctified them.
And Moses sprinkled the oil upon
the altar seven times and anointed the altar and all the vessels within, and
poured the anointing oil upon Aaron’s head. And anointed him to sanctify him,
and also likewise Aaron’s son were brought in and have the coats, and girdles,
and turbans put on them and they too were anointed to minister as priests
within the tabernacle. more
