BRAGADAYJAH 625
The Spies Report to Joshua
Leaving Rahab, the spies made their way safely out through the
gate of the city, and made their way to the mountain where they hid themselves
until it was safe to continue with their return journey home. Arriving home,
they reported to Joshua and told him that the Lord had been good to them, and
in fact had delivered into their hands all the land; for all the inhabitants of
the land were in fear of them. So Joshua early the next morning moved the
company of the children of Israel from where they were encamped near the Jordan
and lodged there preparatory to crossing over. And after three days, the
officers went through the hosts and told the people that when they see the
covenant of the ark of their God and the priests the Levites bearing it, then
they should remove from their lodgings and follow after it; but not to get
closer than two thousand cubits of it, and certainly not to pass it, because they
did not know the way, and must be led by the ark of the covenant of the Lord.
