BRAGADAYJAH 1848

BRAGADAYJAH 1848 Isaiah Verses 44: 13-16 The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth It with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house. He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest; he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it. Then shall it be for a man to burn; for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto. He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied; yea, he warmeth himself, and sayeth, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire;

BRAGADAYJAH 1847

BRAGADAYJAH 1847 Isaiah 44: Verses 9-12 They that make a graven image, are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed. Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing? Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed, and the workmen, they are of men; let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together. The smith with the tongs both worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his arm; yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth, he drinketh no water, and is faint.

BRAGADAYJAH 1846

BRAGADAYJAH 1846 Isaiah 44: Verses 5-8 One shall say, I am the Lord; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the Lord, and surname himself by the name of Israel. Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of Hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? And the things that are coming, and shall come, let them show unto them. Fear ye not, neither be afraid; have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? Ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? Yea, there is no God; I know not any.

BRAGADAYJAH 1845

BRAGADAYJAH 1845 Isaiah 44: Verses 1-4 Yet now here, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen; thus saith the Lord that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen. For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty and floods upon the dry ground; I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring; and they shall spring up as among the grass, and willows upon the water courses.

BRAGADAYJAH 1844

BRAGADAYJAH 1844 Isaiah 43: Verses 25-28 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Put me in remembrance; let us plead together; declare thou, that thou mayest be justified. Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me. Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.

BRAGADAYJAH 1843

BRAGADAYJAH 1843 Isaiah 43: Verses 22-25 But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel. Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt offerings; neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense. Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices; but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.

BRAGADAYJAH 1842

BRAGADAYJAH 1842 Isaiah 43: Verses 18-21 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls; because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. This people have I formed for myself; they shall show forth my praise.

BRAGADAYJAH 1841

BRAGADAYJAH 1841. Isaiah 43. 13-16 Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand; I will work and who shall let it? Thus saith the Lord, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; for your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships. I am the Lord your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your king. Thus saith the Lord which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters, which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise; they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.

BRAGADAYJAH 1840

BRAGADAYJAH 1840 Isiah 43 Verses 9-12 Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled; who among them can declare this, and show us former things? Let them bring forth their witness, that they may be justified; or let them hear, and say, it is truth. Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servants whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he; before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I am the Lord; and beside me there is no Saviour. I have declared, and have saved. and I have shown, when there was no strange god among you; therefore ye are my witnessed, saith the Lord, that I am God.

BRAGADAYJAH 1939

BRAGADAYJAH 1839 Isaiah 42: Verses 5.8 Fear not; for I am with you; I will bring thy seed from the East, and gather thee from the West; I will say to the North, give up; and to the South, keep not back; bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; even everyone that is called by my name; for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.

BRAGADAYJAH 1838

BRAGADAYJAH 1838 Isaiah 43 Verses 1-4 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob and he that formed thee, O Israel; fear not for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee, and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burnt neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour; I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee; therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.

BRAGADAYJAH 1837

BRAGADAYJAH 1837 Isaiah 42: Verses 22-25 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are, all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses; they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none sayeth, restore. Who among you will give ear to this? Who will hearken and hear for the time to come? Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? Did not the Lord, he against whom we have sinned? For they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law. Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle; and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not and it burnt him, yet he laid it not to heart.

BRAGADAYJAH 1836

BRAGADAYJAH 1836 Isaiah 42: Verses 18-21. Here, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see. Who is blind but my servant? Or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? Who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the Lord’s servant? Seeing many things, but thou observes not; opening the ears, but he heareth not. The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

BRAGADAYJAH 1835

BRAGADAYJAH 1835 Isiah 42: Verses 14-17 I have long time holden my peace; I have been still and refrained myself; now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once. I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools; and I will bring the blind by a way that they know not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known; I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them and not forsake them. They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly shamed, that trust I graven images that say to the molten images, ye are our God.

BRAGADAYJAH 1833

BRAGADAYJAH 1833 Isaiah 42: Verses 10-13 Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers od Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah. To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? Saith the Lord; I am full of burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he-goats. When ye come to appear before me, who hath require this of your hands, to tread my Course? Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and Sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.

BRAGADAYJAH 1833

BRAGADAYJAH 1833 Isaiah 42: Verses 6-9 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds and bruises, and putrefying sores, they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment. Your country is desolate, your cities are burnt with fire; your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers. And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city. Except the Lord of Hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

BRAGADAYJAH 1832

BRAGADAYJAH 1832 Isaiah 42: Verses 1-5. Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him; he shall bring forth judgment to the gentiles. He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench; he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he has set judgment in the earth; and the isles shall wait for his law. Thus saith God the Lord, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein.

BRAGADAYJAH 1831

BRAGADAYJAH 1831 Isaiah 41: Verses 26-29. Who has declared from the beginning, that we may know? And former times, that may say, he is righteous? Surely there is no one who shows, surely there is no one who declares, surely there is no one who hears your words. The first time I said to Zion, Look, there they are! And I will give to Jerusalem one who brings good tiding. For I looked and there was no man; I looked among them, but there was no counselor, who, when I asked of them, could answer a word. Indeed they are all worthless, their works are nothing; their molded images are wind and confusion.

BRAGADAYJAH 1830

BRAGADAYJAH 1830 Isaiah 41: Verses 22-25 Let them bring forth and show us what would happen; let them show the former things, what they were, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare to us things to come. Show the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that you are God; yes, do good or to do evil, that we may be dismayed and see it together. Indeed you are nothing, and your work is nothing; he who chooses you is an abomination. I have raised up one from the North, and he shall come from the rising of the sun, he shall call on my name; and he shall come against princes as though mortar as the potter treads clay.

BRAGADAYJAH 1829

BRAGADAYJAH 1829 Isaiah 41: Verses 18-21 I will open rivers in desolate heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. I will plant in the wilderness the cedar and the acacia tree, the myrtle and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the cypress tree and the pine and the box tree together, that they may see and know, and consider and understand together, that the hand of the Lord has done this, and the Holy One of Israel has created it. Present your case, says the Lord. Bring forth your strong reasons, says the king of Jacob.

BRAGADAYJAH 1828

BRAGADAYJAH 1828 Isaiah 41: Verses 14-17 Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I will help you, says the Lord and your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. Behold, I will make you into a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth; you shall thresh the mountains and beat them small, and make the hills like chaff. You shall minnow them, the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them; you shall rejoice in the Lord, and glory in the Holy One of Israel. The poor and needy seek water, but there is none, their tongues fail for thirst. I, the Lord, will hear them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

BRAGADAYJAH 1827

BRAGADAYJAH 1827 Isaiah 41: Verses 10-13 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yea, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Behold, all those who were incensed against you shall be shamed and disgraced; they shall be as nothing, and those who strive with you shall perish. You shall seek them and not find them, those who contended with you. Those who war against you shall be as nothing, as a nonexistent thing. For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, Fear not, I will help you.

BRAGADAYJAH 1826

BRAGADAYJAH 1826 Isaiah 41: Verses 6-9 Everyone helped his neighbor, and said to his brother, Be of good courage! So the craftsman encourage the goldsmith; he who smooth with the hammer, inspired him who strikes the anvil, saying, it is ready for the soldering; then he fastened it with pegs, that it might not totter. But you, Israel, are my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the descendants of Abraham my friend. You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest regions and said to you, you are my servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away.

BRAGADAYJAH 1825

BRAGADAYJAH 1826 Isaiah 41: Verses 1-5 Keep silence before me, O islands, and let the people renew their strength; let them come near; then let them speak; let us come near together to judgment. Who raised up the righteous man from the East, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? He gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow. He perused them, and passed safely; even by the way that he had not gone with his feet. Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the Lord, the first, and with the last; I am he. The isles saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came.

BRAGADAYJAH 1825

BRAGADAYJAH 1825 Isaiah 40: Verses 29-31 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youth shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall; but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they hall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.

BRAGADAYJAH 1824

BRAGADAYJAH 1824 Isaiah 40: Verses 25-28 To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number; he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth. Why saith thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, my way is hid from the Lord, and my judgment is past over from my God? Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding.

BRAGADAYJAH 1823

BRAGADAYJAH 1823 Isaiah 40: Verses 21-24 Have ye not known? Have ye not heard? Hath it not been told you from the beginning? Have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in; that bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity. Yea they shall not be planted; yea they shall not be sown; yea their stock shall not take root in the earth; and he shall also blow upon them; and they shall whither; and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.

BRAGADAYJAH 1822

BRAGADAYJAH 1822 Isaiah 40: Verses 17-20 All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing and vanity. To whom then will ye liken God? Or what likeness will ye compare unto him? The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains. He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman, to prepare a graven image that shall not be moved.

BRAGADAYJAH 1821

BRAGADAYJAH 1821 Isaiah 40: Verses 13-16 Who hath directed the spirit of the Lord, or being his counselor hath taught him? With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and showed to him the way of understanding? Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance; behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing. And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.

BRAGADAYJAH 1820

BRAGADAYJAH 1820 Isaiah 40: Verses 9-12 O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, behold your God! Behold, the Lord God will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. He shall feed his flock like a shepherd; he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

BRAGADAYJAH 1819

BRAGADAYJAH 1819 Isaiah 40: Verses 5-8. All flesh is grass And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. The voice said, cry. And he said, what shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field; the grass withereth, the flower fadeth; because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it; surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth; but the word of our God shall stand forever.
