BRAGADAYJAH 826
At that time, there was a man of Benjamin, whose name was Kish, the son of
Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Bechorath the son of Aphiah, a mighty man of
Benjamin and of great power. And he had a son whose name was Saul, a choice and
goodly young man; and there was not found among the children of Israel a goodlier
man than he. He was taller than most other
men. And the asses of Kish, Saul’s father were lost. And Kish told Saul to take
one of the servants with him and go and look for the missing assess. And Saul passed through Mount Ephraim, and
through the land of Shalisha; but he could not find them. Then he went through
the land of Shalim, and then through the land of the Benjamites; but still he did
not find them. And they continued searching.
And when they came to the land of Zuph, Saul told his servant they
should return to his father lest his father started to care less about the
missing asses and start worrying about them. And Saul’s servant told him that
there was in the city a man of God, who was an honorable man, and whatsoever he
said came to pass. Therefore, he said let us go and talk to him. “Maybe he can help us.”
