BRAGADAYJAH

Too
Late, Saul admits his sin.
The
chips are down. Saul has no more
wriggling room; so he asks Samuel to forgive him and accompany him in the
presence of the Lord, so he could seek forgiveness. But Samuel refused and
explained to him that he could not accompany him because he had rejected the
word of the Lord, and the Lord had rejected him from being king over Israel.
And as Samuel turned away from Saul, he laid hold on the skirt of the mantle of
Samuel’s garment and it tore. And Samuel said to Saul, “See? The Lord has torn
the kingdom of Israel away from you this day, and has given it to your neighbor
that is better than you. And also the Strength of Israel will not lie or
repent; for He is not a man that He should repent.”
