Demarcation
of the Borders of the land of Israel
The
Lord spoke to Moses and showed him what were to be the borders of the land
which the Lord was giving them for a possession.
The
South quarter was from the wilderness of Zin along be the border of Edom, and
the South border from the far end of the Salt Sea Eastward, and it shall turn
from the South and ascend unto Akrabbim and pass on to Zin, and going on from
there South to Kadesh-barnea and then unto Hazzaraddar, and pass on to Azmon. And the border shall go around from Azmon unto
the river of Egypt and the termination of it shall be the sea. And the Western border shall be the Great Sea.
And on the North, from the Great Sea you
shall mark out Mount Hor as your border and from Mount Hor you shall mark out
for your border the entrance of Hamath and the end of the border shall be at
Zedad. And the border shall go on to
Ziphron and the termination of it shall be at Hazar-enan which shall be the
northern border. And the East border shall be from Hazar-enan to Shepham. And
the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain, and
the border shall descend and reach to the side of the sea of Chinnereth
eastward. And the border shall go down to the Jordan and the end of it shall be
at the Salt Sea, all of this was to be your land and the borders of it.
