Provisions For Aaron and his
household
In addition, the Lord said to
Aaron, I have given you the charge of the heave offerings of all the hallowed
things of the children of Israel. I have
given them to you and to your sons because of the anointing; these things shall
be yours forever. All these things reserved from the fire, every oblation of
theirs, every meal offering, every sin offering and every trespass offering,
which they shall render unto me, shall be most holy unto you and your sons.
You shall eat it in the most
holy place and every male son shall eat it, for it is holy unto you. Also given
unto you shall be the heave offering with their gifts, and all the wave
offering to be eaten not only by you and your sons, but your daughters too and
everyone in your household who are clean shall eat it. All the best of the wine and all the best of
the oil, of the wheat and the first fruit which they offer shall be yours also.
And whatever is first ripe in the land which they shall bring unto the Lord, I
have given unto you.
