For Aaron the priest’s and his sons headdress, they made a
miter of fine linen and goodly turbans also of fine linen and breeches of
fine-twined linen, and a girdle of fine-twined linen, blue and purple and
scarlet of needlework as the Lord commanded.
And they
made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold and wrote upon it as one would on
a signet ring the words, “Holiness To The Lord;” And they tied upon it a lace
of blue to fasten it on high upon the miter, as the Lord commanded.
So then the
work of the Tabernacle of the tent of the congregation was completed, all
according as the Lord had commanded Moses.
And they
brought the Tabernacle unto Moses; the tent and all its furniture, its clasps,
its boards, its bars, and its pillars, and its sockets; and the covering of ram’s
skins dyed red, and the covering of badger’s skins, and the veil of the covering
; the ark of the testimony, and the staves thereof and the mercy seat.
Also the table,
and all the vessels and the showbread; the pure lampstand with its lamps and oil
and containers; the golden altar and the anointing oil; the sweet incense and the
hanging for the tabernacle; the bronze altar and its grate of bronze, its staves
and its vessels, its laver and its foot; the hangings for the court, its pillars
and its sockets; the hanging for the court gate, its cord and its pins, and all
the vessels of the service of the tabernacle for the tent of the congregation; the
cloths of service, to be used in the holy place , and the holy garments for Aaron
the priest, and his sons garments to minister in the priest’s office.
And Moses having
carefully examined all the work was satisfied that it all had been done in accordance
with the commandment of the Lord and so Moses thanked and blessed the people.
