And Bezalel made the ark of the covenant of acacia wood
according to God’s specifications, and overlaid it within and without with pure
gold, surrounded also be a rim of gold.
He made for it four rings of gold cast on its four corners two on each
side; and staves of acacia wood, also covered with gold, to be fitted into the rings for the purpose
of carriage.
He made also the
mercy seat of pure gold according to Gods specifications, and two cherubim of
gold for the two ends of the mercy seat. The cherubim were made with wings
which were spread out over the mercy seat and overshadowed the mercy seat with
each on either side facing the mercy seat.
Bezalel
also made the Table of Showbread, of acacia wood, also as the Lord had
specified in terms of dimensions, and overlaid it with gold, and having a rim
round about it also made of gold. The table of showbread was also made with a
border around and with a rim both of which were of gold. On each of its four corners was a ring of
gold made for the staves to fit into so that it may be lifted and carried. The
staves as were all the other staves were made of acacia wood, as God had
stipulated and covered with gold. And he also made the vessels which were upon
the table, including its dishes, spoons, bowls, and pouring vessels all also
made of pure gold.
