Don’t Lie There Sniveling
As Joshua laid on the ground weeping before the Lord, He
told him don’t lie there sniveling before me, get up and consecrate the people,
and tell them to consecrate themselves in preparation for tomorrow; for
tomorrow this is what the Lord God of Israel says: That which is accursed is
among you O Israel, you cannot stand before your enemies until you remove
it. In the morning present yourselves
tribe by tribe; the tribe which the Lord selects shall come forward clan by
clan; the clan which the Lord selects shall come forward family by family; the
family which the Lord selects shall come forward man by man. And the one caught with the accursed thing
shall be destroyed by fire, along with all that belongs to him. He has violated
the covenant of the Lord, and has done a disgraceful thing in Israel.”
