Continuing on, the next
generations was that of Manasseh, and were thirty two thousand and two hundred;
of the children of Benjamin, by their generations, thirty five thousand four
hundred; of the children of Dan by their generations, seventy two thousand
seven hundred; of the children of Asher by their generations, forty one
thousand five hundred; of the children of Naphtali, fifty three thousand four
hundred.
Those are those who were
numbered by Moses and Aaron, together with the twelve princes of Israel by the
house of their fathers. And together they numbered six hundred and three thousand,
five hundred and fifty.
But the Levites after the
tribe of their fathers were not included in this numbering; for the Lord had
told Moses not to number those of the tribe of Levi among the men of Israel.
