For the purpose of clarity,
it is pointed out that the first section of these brags deal with the Creation
out of which we find a key verse, encapsulated in God’s words to the serpent,
“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman and between thy seed and her
seed; he shall bruise thy head and thou shall bruise his heal;” And as we know
some 6000 years later that enmity came to fruition when Christ the seed of the
woman Eve, did indeed bruise the serpent’s head; but the serpent also bruised
the heel of the man Jesus, the offspring of the woman Eve.
In the second section we see
God using his servant Moses to deliver His people out of Israel and in so doing
inaugurated the Passover, an ordinance to be celebrated until consummated in
the death of Christ. “And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses
where you are and when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague
shall not be upon you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt.”
In the third section we see
God’s absolute requirement that as a holy God, those who are called by His name
must also be holy; for He said unto Moses, “speak unto all the congregation of
the children of Israel and say unto them, You shall be holy; for I the Lord
your God, I am holy.”
