Also said the Lord, in the
year of jubilee, every man shall return to his possession. If thou sold anything
unto your neighbor, or if you buy anything from your neighbor, you shall not
oppress one another. According to the number of years after the jubilee you
shall you shall buy of your neighbor, and according to the number of years of
the fruit he shall sell unto thee, according to the multitude of years you shall
increase the price thereof; and according to the fewness of years you shall
reduce the price of it; for according to the number of years of the fruit does
he sell unto you.”
“You shall not therefore
oppress one another; but thou shall fear your God. Therefore thou shall do my statutes and keep
mine ordinances and do them, and you shall dwell in the land in safety.
And the land shall yield her
fruit and you shall eat your fill and dwell therein in safety.”
And if you shall ask, what shall
we eat in the seventh year since we cannot sow or gather in our increase? Then
I will command my blessing on you in the sixth year and it shall bring forth
fruit for three years. And you shall sow the eight year and eat yet of old
fruit until the ninth year until the fruit come in
The land shall not be sold
forever for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me. And
in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.”
