In those Days there was no King In
Israel
As in those days there was no king in
Israel, and at that time the tribe of the Danites sought an inheritance to
dwell in; for as of that time, all their inheritance had not fallen unto them
among the tribes of Israel. And the children of Dan sent from their coast five
brave men from Zorah and from Eshtaol to spy out the land and to search it; and
in their search they ended up at the house of Micah. And while there they heard
the voice of the young man, the Levite, whom Micah had made priest; so they
question him and asked him who brought him there and what he was doing there.
And the priest explained to them his story, and told them how he came to be
there, and how Micah had dealt with him. And they told the priest to enquire of
God whether the way they were going would be prosperous or not. And the priest
told them to go in peace as the Lord would guide them on their way. And so, the
five men departed and went on their way.
