Samson Returns to Take the Woman
Having spoken with the Philistine woman
and she having pleased him, Samson returned home. But after a while he decided that he was
going to go down and take her; but as he was on his way he came across the carcass of the lion he had slain on his
earlier journey; and lo and behold there was a swarm of bees in the carcass and
there, in the carcass was honey. So he took of the honey and went on his way
eating it; and he met his father and his mother and gave them some of the
honey, and they ate it, he not telling them where the honey came from. So
Samson’s father spoke to the woman, and to celebrate as was the custom at the
time, Samson gathered his young friends together and held a feast.
