God Gives Satan Limited Authority
So Satan was not ignorant concerning the power and providence of God; and one may even wonder why Satan even bothers to mess with God’s people; for here is what he said to God. “You have made a hedge about him; and about his house and about all that he has on every side; thou has blessed the work of his hands; and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth Thy hand now and touch all that he has and he will curse thee to thy face.”  And the lord said unto Satan, “Behold all that he has are in your power only upon himself put not thine hand.” So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord. What an instructive exchange that was. Without saying it says,, God looks after his own. Not only his person, his possessions and everything that pertains to him; but God blesses and prosper him in every way. It is a pity that those who profess a relationship with God fail to acknowledge or to know the power of God.
