The Summary of the Princes
Gifts.
So that we find that at the
dedication of the altar in the day when it was anointed by the princes of
Israel, there were twelve platters of silver, twelve silver bowls, and twelve
golden spoons,
Each platter weighed one
hundred and thirty shekels of silver, and each bowl weighed seventy shekels, so
that all the silver vessels weighed, two thousand four hundred shekels
according to the weight of the sanctuary.
The golden spoons were twelve
filled with incense, and they weighed ten shekels apiece after the shekel of
the sanctuary, so that the spoons weighed one hundred and twenty shekels.
All the oxen for the offering
were twelve bullocks, the rams twelve, the lambs of the first year twelve, with
their meal offering and the kids of the goat for their sin offering twelve.
And all the oxen for the
sacrifice of peace offerings were twenty and four bullocks, the rams sixty, the
he-goats sixty, the lambs of the first year sixty. These were the gifts of the princely
offerings.
And after Moses entered into
the tabernacle of the congregation to seek the Lord, he heard His voice speaking
to him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of the testimony, from
between the two cherubim and He spoke with him.
