BRAGADAYJAH 1123
Babylonian Captivity Foretold.
Then it came about that Berodach-Baladan, king of Babylon, sent
letters and a present to Hezekiah because he had heard that Hezekiah had been
ill. And Hezekiah hearkened unto them and showed them and showed them all the
house of his precious things; the silver, the gold, the spices, the precious
ointments, the house of his armour and everything else in his house, excluding
nothing. Then came Isaiah the prophet unto King Hezekiah, and he asked him what
the men who had visited said and where they came from. And Hezekiah told him
they had come from a far country, namely Babylon. And Isaiah asked Hezekiah
what the men saw in his house. And Hezekiah told him that he had shown them
everything excluding nothing. And Isaiah said to him here the words of the
Lord. “Behold the days come that all that is in thine house and all that your
fathers have laid unto in store unto this day, shall be carried away into
Babylon, and nothing shall be left says the Lord. And you sons shall be taken
away and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.
