BRAGADAYJAH 1109
The People of the Nations came to fear the Lord.
After the children of Israel were taken away from Samaria by the King
of Assyria, he replaced them with people from Babylon, and Cuthah, from Ava,
Hamath and from Sepharvaim and placed them in the cities of Samaria in their stead.
Of course these were people who served other gods and feared not the Lord; so
the Lord sent lions among them and slew many of them. So after a while the
people complained to the king that they were unfamiliar with ways of the God of
the land wherein they found themselves; and as a result of which they were
being killed. So the king commanded that one of the priests who were taken away
from Samaria be taken back to the land so he could teach the people about the
God of Israel. So one of the priests was
taken back to Bethel where he began to teach the people how they should fear
the Lord. However, the several nations made gods and put them in places of
worship where they continued to worship them.
