Still pursuing after Sisera, Barak came to Jael’s house, and she told him
to follow her into the house and find the man he was after; and entering the
house, Barak saw Sisera lying dead with the nail through his temples. So it was
that God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of
Israel. And the hand of the children of Israel prospered and prevailed until
Jabin king of Canaan had been destroyed.
So Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam sang a new song on that day,
saying, “Praise ye the Lord for the avenging of Israel when the people
willingly offered themselves.” More
