At that time the children of Judah had fought against
Jerusalem and had taken it, had smitten it with the edge of the sword and set
it on fire. And after that the children of Judah had gone and fought against
the Canaanites that dwelt in the south, and in the mountain and the valley. And afterwards they went against the
Canaanites that dwelt in Hebron (formerly called Kirjatharba), and they slew
Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai. And from there Judah wen against the
inhabitants of Debir and the name of Debir was formerly Kirjathsepher. And Caleb said, he that smites Kirjathsepher,
and takes it will I give my daughter to wife.
