BRAGADAYJAH 702
And it came to pass that when the judge was dead, the people continued to
provoke the Lord by their evil ways; and the anger of the Lord rose up against
them, and He said, “Because this people have transgressed my covenants which I
have commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice, I will not
henceforth drive out any of the nations which Joshua left when he died; so that
through them I may prove Israel whether they will keep the way of the Lord to
walk therein, as their fathers did or not.” Therefore the Lord left those
nations without driving them out hastily; neither delivered He them into the
hand of Joshua.
