BRAGADAYJAH 278

BRAGADAYJAH 278

Today, we see all sorts and conditions of people who claim to be ministers of God, and sure enough we see and hear them too, making all kinds of claims and nebulous pronouncements. Some dress like they are on the beach, others dress like they are in the dance hall or in their living rooms; who called them, when they were called or for what purpose, we do not know other than what they tell us or what they call themselves; but without saying more, we know that God called Aaron and his sons to be priests  to serve the people and minister before him in his Tabernacle.
We have seen something of the costliness and splendor of the Tabernacle and its fittings and fixtures, and how they were made according to God’s instructions to Moses; so likewise the ministerial vestments were commanded by God and so now we reminded what they were.
As for the blue and purple and scarlet, they made cloths of service to do service in the holy place, and made holy garments for Aaron and his sons to wear as the Lord commanded Moses.
They made the ephod of gold, blue and purple and scarlet of fine-twined linen.  They beat the gold into thin plates and cut it into thin strips to work it into the blue and purple and scarlet, and in the fine linen by skillful work.  They made shoulder pieces for it to couple it together at its two edges. The beautifully woven girdle of the ephod was similarly made that is to say of blue, purple and scarlet made of fine-twined linen.

They also made onyx stones enclosed in settings of gold and engraved as signets with the names of the children of Israel; and these were placed on the shoulders of the ephod as a memorial unto the children of Israel.   Morewww.chaberbooks.com
