BRAGADAYJAH 262

So now, the Lord told Moses to take the people and lead them into the land which He had promised to give to them via the promises He had made to Abraham and Isaac and Jacob.
The Lord’s angel was to go before Moses, and the Lord promised that He would drive out the Canaanites, the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, the occupants of the lands they were to pass over.
The Lord described the land to which Moses was directed to take them as a land flowing with milk and honey; in other words a rich and pleasant land; but the Lord said He was sending His angel to lead them as He was not inclined to dwell among them because that they were a stiff-necked people and He did not want to destroy them.

And hearing this warning the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments at the foot of Mount Horeb. More
