Mordecai arrayed in Royal Attire
Based on Haman’s recommendation, the king told him to take his apparel, and his horse, and do in accordance to what he had said to be done to Mordecai the Jew, that sits at the king’s gate. So Haman took the riyal apparel and the horse and arrayed Mordecai and brought him on horseback through the streets of the city, and proclaimed before him. And afterwards Mordecai appeared again before the king’s gate; but Haman hurried to his house in fury, and mournfully with his head covered. And he told Zeresh and his wife and all his friends everything that had befallen him. And his wise men and Zeresh and his wife told Haman, that if Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom he had begun to fall, he would not prevail against him, but shall continue to fall. And while they were still talking among themselves, the king’s chamberlain came to take Haman hurriedly to the banquet that Queen Esther had prepared for him.
