BRAGADAYJAH 774
Samson Killed more at his death than he
did in his Life
So there was Samson, in shackles,
blinded, humiliated and degraded being led by the hand by a little boy. And Samson asked the boy to let him rest a
little against the pillars of the house wherein he was being held. Now at that
time the house was filled with men and women and the lords of the Philistines
not including the more than three thousand men and women that sat on the roof
of the building, in order that they might behold the spectacle of Samson been
made sport of. And Samson called upon the Lord and said, “O Lord, remember me;
I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may
be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.” And Samson took hold of
the two middle pillars upon which the house rested, and upon which it was borne
up, and said “Let me die with the Philistines.” And he bowed himself with all
his might, and the house fell upon the lords and upon all the people that were
therein. So all the dead which he slew at his death, were more than those he
slew in his life. Then Samson’s brethren
and all the house of his father went down and took him and carried him up, and
buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the burial place of his father Manoah,
Samson having judged Israel twenty years.
