BRAGADAYJAH 766
The Philistines planned to capture
Samson
Because of what Samson did to the
Philistines, they gathered themselves against him, with the expressed intention
of binding him and doing to him as he had done unto them. Then three thousand
of the men of Judah went unto Samson where he was on the rock Elam, and asked
Samson whether or not he was aware that the Philistines were their ruler, and
questioned him regarding what he had done unto the Philistines; but Samson
replied and told them he had done unto him as they had done unto him. And the men of Judah told Samson that they
were there to bind him and deliver him to the Philistines. Therefore Samson told them to swear that they
would not themselves kill him once he allowed them to bind him; and they swore
to him that they would bind him fast and deliver him to the Philistines, but
that they would not themselves try to kill him; so allowed himself to be bound
with two new strong cords and taken to the Philistines.
