BRAGADAYJAH

Continuing
on, Balaam told Balak, “I received commandment to bless and God has blessed and
I cannot reverse it. God has not seen
iniquity in Jacob, nor perverseness in Israel.
The Lord his God is with him and the shout of a king is among them. God brought them out of Egypt; he has as it were
the strength of a wild ox. Surely, there
is no enchantment against Jacob, nor is there any divination against Israel. According to the time it shall be said of
Jacob and of Israel, what has God wrought?
Behold the people shall rise up as a great lion and lift up himself as a
young lion; he shall not lie down until he has eaten of the prey and drink the
blood of the slain.”
And
Balak said unto Balaam, “then neither bless them at all nor curse them at all.”
Then Balaam answered and said unto Balak, “did I not tell you, did you not hear
me say, that I must do all that the Lord has instructed me to do?”
But
Balak was not satisfied, he told Balaam that he would take him and show him
another set of people and maybe it will please God to allow him to curse them
for him from there. So he took Balaam to
the top of mount Peor that overlooks Jeshimon.
And Balaam told Balak to build him there and prepare seven bullocks and
seven rams. And Balak built seven altars and offered there seven bullocks and
seven rams one each on each altar.
