BRAGADAYJAH 373
Three Things which are the
Lord’s absolutely
Firstly, the Firstling of the
Beasts.
“Only the firstling of the
beasts which should be the Lord’s firstling; and no man shall sanctify it
whether it be ox, or sheep, it is the Lord’s.
And if it be an unclean beast, then he shall redeem it according to its
valuation and a fifth part shall be added to it and if it is not redeemed, then
it shall be sold according to its valuation.
Secondly, no dedicated thing;
for no devoted thing which a man shall dedicate unto the Lord out of his
possession, whether it be man, or beast, or field, shall be sold or redeemed;
for every devoted thing is holy unto the Lord.”
Thirdly all tithes of land
and tree and beasts. “All tithes of the
land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree is the Lord’s
it is holy unto the Lord. And if a man shall at all redeem any of his tithes,
he shall add thereto a fifth part thereof. And concerning the tithes of the
herd or of the flock, or anything that passes under the rod, the tenth shall be
holy unto the Lord. He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither
shall he change it; and if he changes it at all, then it and the thing changed
shall be holy unto the Lord; it shall not be redeemed.
The foregoing are the
commandments which the Lord commanded Moses for the children of Israel in Mount
Sinai.
