BRAGADAYJAH 357
The Lord God continued to
instruct the children of Israel, both making additional promises and uttering
warnings to them.
Oil for the Light in the Holy
Place. “And God spoke unto Moses
instructing him to speak to the children of Israel and command them to bring
pure olive oil beaten for the oil for the lamps so that they would burn
continually.
The lamps were those placed
outside the veil, and in the tabernacle of the congregation, as well as the
lamps on the lampstand; Aaron was to see to it that the lamps burned from
morning to night at all times for ever.
Ordinance of the Showbread. “And
thou shall take the flour and bake twelve cakes each cake having two tenth part
in each cake and the cakes shall be set in two rows, six in each row upon the
pure table before the Lord. And thou shall put pure frankincense upon each row
that it may be on the bread for a memorial even an offering made by fire unto
the Lord.”
“Every Sabbath, the priest shall
set it in order before the Lord continually, being taken from the children of Israel
perpetually. And it shall be Aaron’s and his sons; and they shall eat it in the
holy place; for it is most holy unto him for the offerings of the Lord made by
fire by a perpetual statute.
