Moreover
say the Lord, “The heaven above you shall be like brass, and the earth that is
under you shall be as iron; and the Lord shall make the rain of the land powder
and dust, it shall come down from heaven upon you until you are destroyed. The
Lord shall cause you to be smitten before your enemies; you shall go out one
way against them and flee seven days before them, and shall be removed from all
the kingdoms of the earth; and your carcass shall be food for the fowls of the
air, and to the beasts of the earth, and no man shall drive them away. The Lord will smite you with the boils of
Egypt, and with tumors, and scabs, and itch from which you shall not be
healed. The Lord will smite you with
madness and blindness and sadness of heart; and you shall grope at high noon as
the blind grope in darkness; and you will not prosper in your ways and you shall
be oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save you. More.
