BRAGADAYJAH 729
God’s Patience is Infinite
So God abided Gideon’s doubting and or timorous spirit and gave him the
victory. For after Gideon heard the words of the men within the enemy’s camp,
he divided his 300 men into three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man’s
hand with empty pitchers and lamps within the pitchers. And he told them to
follow his lead, and when they come to the outside of the camp to do exactly as
he did. So when you see me blow my trumpet let every man blow his on all sides
of the camp and shout, the sword of the Lord and of Gideon. So Gideon and the hundred men that were with
him came on the outside of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch which
had been newly set; and they blew their trumpets and broke the pitchers that
were in their hands; and the other two companies blew their trumpet and broke
the pitchers that were in their hands and shouted, “the sword of the Lord and
of Gideon.” And each man stood his ground as they shouted; and at the sound of
the trumpets and the shout of the men of Gideon, the host of the enemy ran, and
cried and fled.
