BRAGADAYJAH 728
Is not God wonderful? Any wonder
that God says in His word only a fool can say in his heart, “there is no God?” There was Gideon, putting God to the test two
times, God assuring him that the battle would be won, but he was still hesitant. Go down quietly God told him, and hear what
the enemy is saying and thinking; that should encourage you! So Gideon went down and listened and what did
he hear? Great news! The enemy, notwithstanding their great
superiority in numbers were afraid. They
already conceded that the battle would be lost. So we may conclude God, the omniscient God,
knows everything, even the beginning and end of all things. But also we should
see that while Gideon was worrying about the enemy, the enemy was worrying about
him. And so it is today that we can draw
a lesson from this account as follows: We, God’s people, should not be worried
and afraid of the world; the world should be worried and afraid of us.
