BRAGADAYJAH 1545 Psalm 145 A Psalm of David Verses 11- 21. Praise to a Gracious God They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; to make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His kingdom. Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down. The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou giveth them their meat in due season. Thou openeth thine hand, and satisfieth the desire of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him; He also will hear their cry and will save them. The Lord preserveth all them that love him; but all the wicked will he destroy. My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord; and let all flesh bless His holy name for ever and ever.

BRAGADAYJAH 1544 Psalm 145. A Psalm of David Praise to the gracious God. I will extol thee, my God, O King; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Everyday will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts; and I will declare thy greatness. They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness. The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The Lord is good to all; and His tender mercies are over all of His works. All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee.

BRAGADAYJAH 1546 Psalm 144 A Psalm of David Verses 9 15. A Psalm of Trust I will sing a new song unto thee, O God; on a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee. It is He that giveth salvation unto kings; who delivereth David His servant from the hurtful sword. Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood; that our sons may be as plant grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as cornerstones, published after the the similitude of a palace; that our garners may be full, affording all manner of store; that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in out streets; that our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaing in our street. Happy is that people, that is in such a case; yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord.

A Psalm of David Verses 1-8 A Psalm of Trust Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight; my goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. Lord, what is man, that thou taketh knowledge of him! Or the son of man, that thou maketh account of him! Man is like to vanity; his days are as a shadow that passeth away. Bow thy heaven, O Lord, and come down; touch the mountains, and they shall smoke. Cast forth lightening, and scatter them; shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them. Send thy hand from above; rid me, and deliver me, out of great waters, from the hand of strange children; whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right is the tight hand of falsehood. BRAGADAYJAH 1541 Psalm 143 A Psalm of David Confident appeal for help Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications; in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness. And enter not into judgment with thy servant; for in thy sight shall no man living be justified. For the enemy has persecute my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead. Therefore, is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate. I remember the days of old; I meditate in all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands. I stretch forth my hands unto thee; my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Hear me speedily, O Lord; my spirit faileth; hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit. Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust; cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. BRAGADAYJAH 1539 Psalm 141 APsalm of David Lord I cry unto thee, make haste unto me, give ear unto my voice when I cry unto thee. Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Set a watch O Lord, before my mouth keep the door of my lips. Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practice wicked works with men that work iniquity and let me not eat their dainties. Let the righteous smite me, it shall be kindness and let him reprove me it shall be excellent oil which shall not break my head for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities .When their judges are overthrown in stony places they shall hear my words for they are sweet. Our bones are scattered at the graves mouth, as when one quitteth and cleave but mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord; into thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute. Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity. Let the wicked fall into own nets, whilst that I withal escape.

BRAGADAYJAH 1538 Psalm 140. A Psalm of David A prayer for Protection Against Persecution Deliver me, O Lord, from the evil man. Preserve me from the violent man who imagine mischief in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war. They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent, adder’s poison is under their lips. Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked, preserve me from the violent man who has purpose to overthrow my goings. The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords, they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. I said unto the Lord, thou art my God, hear the voice of my supplication, O Lord. O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hath covered my head in the day of battle. Grant not O Lord, the desires of the wicked; further not his wicked devices, lest they exalt themselves. As for the head of those who compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them. Let burning coals fall upon them, let them be cast into the fire, like deep pits, let them not rise up again. Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth, evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him. I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor.Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name; the upright shall dwell in thy presence.

Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. Thou understandeth my thoughts afar off. Thou compasseth my path and my lying down, and art acquaianted with all my ways; for there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knoweth it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me, such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. Whither shall I go from thy spirit? Or wither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there; if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. BRAGADAYJAH 1534 Psalm 138. A Psalm of David Praise for answered Prayer I will praise thee with my whole heart before the gods will I sing praise unto thee. I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth; for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. In the day when I cried. thou answerest me; and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul. All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O Lord, when they hear the words of thy mouth. Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the Lord; for great is the glory of the Lord. Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly; but the proud he knoweth afar off. Though I walk in the midst of trouble; thou wilt revive me; thou shall stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of my enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. BRAGADAYJAH 1525 Psalm 132 A Song of Degrees Lord remember David and all his afflictions, how he swore unto the Lord and vowed unto the Mighty God of Jacob. Surely I would not come into the the tabernacle of thine house, nor go up into my bed: I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids, until I find out a place for my Lord, a habitation to the mighty God of Jacob. Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah; we found it in the fields of the wood. We will go into his tabernacle; we will worship at his footstool. Arise, O Lord, into thy rest, thou and the ark of thy strength. Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness, and let thy Saints shouts for joy. May Israel now say, many a time have they afflicted me from my youth; yet they have not prevailed against me. The plowers plowed upon my back; they made long their furrows. The Lord is righteous, He has cut aside the cords of the wicked. Let them all be confounded and turn back that hate Zion. Let them be as the grass upon the housetop which withereth afore it growth up, wherewith the mower filleth not his hand, nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom, neither do they which go by say, “The blessing of the Lord be upon you, we blessed you in the name of the Lord.”

For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hand; happy shall thou be and it shall be well with thee. BRAGADAYJAH 1520 Psalm 127 A Song of Degrees for Solomon Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it. Except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late to eat the bread of sorrow, for so he giveth his beloved sleep. Lo children are an heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb his delight. As arrows are in the hands of a mighty man, so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them; they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemy in the gate.

Turn again our captivity O Lord as the streams in the south. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is around His people from henceforth even for ever; for the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the righteous, lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity. Do good O Lord unto those that be good, and to them who are upright in their hearts. As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity; but peace shall be upon Israel.

A Song of Degrees A Psalm of David If it had not been the Lord, who was on our side, now may Israel say, if it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us; then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us; then the waters had overwhelmed us; the stream had gone over our soul; then the proud waters had gone over our soul. Blessed be the Lord, who has not given us as a prey to their teeth. Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we are escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Behold as the eyes of the servants look unto the hands of their master, and as the eye of the maiden look unto the hand of her mistress, so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that He has mercy upon us. Have mercy upon us O Lord, have mercy on us for we are exceedingly filled with contempt. Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those who are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.

He will not suffer my foot to be moved he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil, He shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth and even for evermore.

What shall be given unto thee? Or what shall be done unto thee thou false tongue? Sharp arrows of the mighty with coals of Jupiter. Woe is me that I sojourn in Meseech, that I dwelt in the tents of Kedar. My soul has long dwelt with him that hateth peace. I am for peace; but when I speak they are for war.
