Solomon held a feast
And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offering, which he
offered unto the Lord, consisting of twenty two thousand oxen, a hundred and
two thousand sheep, in dedicating the house unto the Lord. At that time the
king hallowed the middle of the court that was before the house of the Lord;
for there he offered burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the
peace offerings. And at that time Solomon held a feast and all Israel with him
comprising a vast congregation from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of
Egypt lasting for seven days, and after that seven further days and after that on
the next day, the king sent the people away; and they blessed the king and went
unto their tents joyfully and with gladness of heart for all the goodness that
the Lord had done to David his servant and for his people Israel.
