BRAGADAYJAH 1075
Elisha surrounded by an army
yet not afraid.
At that time the king of Syria warred against
Israel and discussed with his servants where he would pitch his camp. And the
man of God sent unto the king of Israel warning him to beware and do not pass
the place where the king of Syria was encamped. As a result the king of Israel
on at least two occasions was able to avoid the traps set for him by the king
of Syria, after been forewarned by the man of God. Accordingly the heart of the
king of Syria was very troubled; and so he called his servants and asked them
who of them were on the side of the king of Israel, and were revealing to him
his location. And one of his servants answered the king and assured him that
there was no traitor among them; but that it was the man of God Elisha, who was
foretelling to the king of Israel his movements, even the very words he whispered
in his bedchamber. And the king of Syria told his servants to go spy out the
place where Elisha was and inform him accordingly. And it was told the king
that Elisha was in Dothan. So the king of Syria sent horses and chariots and a
great host and surrounded the city in the night. And in the morning when Elisha’s servant
arose he saw that the city was surrounded by a great host; so he reported what
he saw to Elisha and asked him what should they do? And Elisha said, “Fear not;
for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. www.chaberbooks.com
