BRAGADAYJAH 1878 Isaiah 50 Verses 6-9 I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair; I hid not my face from shame and spitting. For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded; therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? Let us stand together; who is mine adversary? Let him come near to me.

BRAGADAYJAH 1877 Isaiah 50: Verses 3-5 I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering. The Lord God has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary; he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned. The Lord God hath opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.

Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? Or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness; there fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.

And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine. BRAGADAYJAH 1873 Isaiah 49: Verses 17-20. Thy children shall make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee. Lift up thine voice round about, and behold; all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live saith the Lord, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament and bind them on thee as a bride doeth. For thy waste and thy desolate places, and the land of thy destruction, shall even now be too narrow by reason of the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away. The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, the place is too straight for me; give place to me that I may dwell.

BRAGADAYJAH 1871 Isaiah 49: Verses 13-16 ‘Sing, O heaven, and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains; for the Lord hath comforted his people, and will have mercy on his afflicted. But Zion said, the Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon he palms of my hand; thy walls are continually before me.

BRAGADAYJAH 1870 Isaiah 49 Verses: 9-12 That thou mayest say, to the prisoners, go forth; to them that are in darkness, show yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places. They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them; for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them. BRAGADAYJAH 1869 Isaiah 49 Verses 5-8 And now, saith the Lord that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious un the eyes of the Lord, and my God shall be my strength. And he said, it is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel; I will also give thee for a light to the gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of earth. Thus saith the Lord the Redeemer of Israel, and his holy one, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhoreth, to a servant of rulers, kings shall see on the rise, princes also shall worship, because of the Lord that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel and he shall choose thee. Thus saith the Lord, in an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee; and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages.

Stand now with thine enchantment, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be, thou shalt be able to profit, if so be, thou mayeth prevail. Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame; there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it. Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast labored, even thy merchants, from thy youth; they shall wander everyone to his quarter none shall save thee.

Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwelleth carelessly, that saith in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children; but these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood; they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments. BRAGADAYJAH 1860 Isaiah 47: Verses 1-5 Come down, and sit and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon. Sit on the ground, there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans; for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate. Take the millstones and grind milk, uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers. Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen; I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man. As for our Redeemer, the Lord of hosts is His name, the Holy One of Israel. BRAGADAYJAH 1859 Isaiah 46: Verses 9-12 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else. I am God and there is none like me. Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, my counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure. Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country, yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I shall also do it. Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted that are far from righteousness. I bring near my righteousness it shall not be far off; and my salvation shall not tarry; and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.

Surely, shall one say, in the Lord have I righteousness and strength; even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed. In the Lord shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations; they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.

BRAGADAYJAH 1849 Isaiah 44: Verses 17-20 And the residue thereof he maketh a god; even his graven image; he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and sayeth, deliver me. For thou art my god. They have not known nor understood; for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand. And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burnt part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it; and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? Shall I fall down to the stock of a tree? He feedeth on ashes; a deceived heart has turned him aside that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, is there not lie in my right hand?
