BRAGADAYJAH 320

BRAGADAYJAH 320

So having dipped the living bird into the blood of the one that was killed, together with the cedar wood the scarlet and the hyssop, the priest then lets the live bird go loose into the open field.
The law of the leper and its attendant ceremony also forebode the fundamentals of salvation. The leper represents the man of sin; he is put outside the camp; while there he can do nothing; he does not come to the priest; the priest must come to him and examine him. The priest sheds the blood of the one bird and he sprinkles the blood of the leper for cleansing; “for without shedding of blood, there is no remission; Christ was not yet raised, and if Christ is not raised there is no remission for sin.
The second bird dipped, stained and offered represents the two aspects of Christ’s work; He was delivered for our offenses and raised for our justification.

The earthen vessels typified Christ’s humanity, and the running water typified the Holy Spirit as the cleansing and life giving fountain; for Christ was put to death in the flesh and made alive by the Holy Spirit. More.

BRAGADAYJAH 319

BRAGADAYJAH 319

The Lord revealed unto the priests Aaron and his sons many things to look for, many different kinds of outbreaks of the flesh which were signs of leprosy, including how to differentiate between a leprous boil or skin infection which were non-leprous and those which where in fact evidences of leprosy.
If a person was leprous, that is to say all over the body including the head, then he shall be declared a leper; and his clothes had to be torn, his head made bare, and be made to dwell alone outside of the camp.
Also if the sign of the plague is determined from certain spots on a person’s garment, the priest shall also declare after examination, the wearer unclean and the clothes burnt.

In addition there was a law for the leper after he had been excluded from the camp. The priest’s duty was to go outside of the camp and examine those who had been declared lepers and excluded.  If upon examination the priest determined that the person was cleansed of his sickness, the priest would command that there be taken for the leper, two birds alive and clean, cedar wood, scarlet and hyssop. The priest shall then give order for one of the birds to be killed in an earthen vessel over running water. Then he would take the live bird, the cedar wood, the scarlet and the hyssop, and shall dip them in the blood of the bird that was killed. More

BRAGADAYJAH 318

A Holy God – A Holy People
Leprosy- a type of sin.

And the Lord told Moses and Aaron that if a man shall have in his skin a kind of swelling, a scab or bright spot, and it appears to be like the plague of leprosy, he shall be brought to Aaron the priest, or to one of his sons the priests.  And the priest shall look on the plaque in the skin of the flesh; and when the hair in the plague is turned white, and the plague in sight is deeper than the skin of the flesh, it is a plague of leprosy; and the priest shall look on him and pronounce him unclean. If the bright spot be white in the skin of the flesh and the bright spot be not deeper than the skin and the hair thereof be not turned white, then the priest shall shut him up the one with the plague for seven days.
Then on the seventh day, the priest shall look on him again and if the plague is seen to be at a stay, and has not spread in the skin, then the priest shall shut him up seven days more.
And again seven days after that, the priest shall look on him again and if the spot be somewhat dark, and the plague spread not in the skin, the priest shall pronounce him clean; for it was just a scab, not leprosy; and the priest shall order him to wash his clothes and pronounce him clean after he would have done so.

But if after the twenty one days, the scab was seen to have spread in the skin, at this the time of his cleansing he shall be seen by the priest another time; and if the priest observe that the scab has spread, the priest shall declare him unclean for he has leprosy.  Morewww.chaberbooks.com

BRGADAYJAH 317

A Holy God for a Holy People – The Law of Motherhood.

And the Lord god commanded by the mouth of Moses, that if a woman conceives and gives birth to a male child, she shall be unclean for 7 days, in accordance with the separation of her infirmity. And in the eight day, the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised. And the mother shall then continue in her blood of purification for thirty three days.  During this time, she shall be unclean and shall touch no holy thing neither shall she enter into the tabernacle until the period of her purification has been completed. But if she bears a female child, then she shall be unclean two weeks as in her separation; and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying for sixty six days.
And when her days of purifying are fulfilled whether for a son or a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon or a turtledove for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation to the priest who shall offer it before the Lord and make an atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood.  This is the law for the woman bearing a male or a female child.
But if she be not able to bring a lamb then she shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons, one for the burnt offering and the other for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for her and she shall be clean.
Obviously, this law continued to be observed by the Jews down to Jesus’ day; for when Jesus was born he was circumcised on the eight day, and Mary fulfilled her thirty three days of purification and went to the temple on the fortieth day and presented there two turtledoves. More

BRAGADAYJAH 316

BRAGADAYJAH 316

Lest it be questioned, why was God so meticulous concerning what may be, may not be eaten, and what is unclean and must not be touched, and if touched is unclean until cleansed, let us remember that the Book of Leviticus the third book of Moses through which we speak was all about the sanctification, (cleansing) of the people. For indeed it is a maxim of Israelitish law that all flesh is deemed unclean.
So God stipulated that anyone who touches an unclean thing or the dead body of an unclean thing shall be unclean for a period of time usually until past evening of the day of the incident.
In addition God said that if any dead thing falls upon any vessel whether it be of wood or clothes, or skin, or sack, or anything that a human person has to touch or use thereafter, such thing shall be unclean, and must be put in water for the rest of the day until past evening before it is cleansed. If the thing which touches the dead thing is an earthen vessel, the thing to do was to break and dispose of it so that it is not used again.
Upon all food that may be eaten, that on which the dead thing falls shall be unclean; and if it falls on an oven or pot they shall be unclean and be broken down or broken up as the case may be and never used again.

“You shall not make yourself abominable with any creeping thing or any unclean thing that you may not be defiled,” said the Lord. “For I am the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God; you shall hereafter be holy. More

BRAGADAYJAH 315

BRAGADAYJAH 315

With regard to the birds, the Lord starts off by pointing out what should not be eaten among them, being abomination and were not to be eaten: the eagle, the ossifrage, the osprey, the kite or vulture, the falcon, the ostrich, the hawk, including the night hawk, the sea gull, the white owl, the cormorant, the horned owl, the swan, the pelican, the eagle, the stork, the heron, the hoopoe, the lapwing and the bat.  All these winged creatures were listed by God as abomination, and not to be eaten.
With regard to winged insects, there was also a list: all winged insects going upon all four and have legs above their feet. Which they use to leap upon the earth, could be eaten, including the locust, the bald locust, the beetle and the grasshopper; but all other winged insects which have four feet shall be an abomination unto you.
And if at any time any unclean insect of bird be touched, even the carcass of any of them, you shall be unclean until evening. And if the carcass of any unclean thing be carried, the person who does that shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening.
And the carcass of every beast which divides the hoof and is not cloven footed nor chews the cud, shall be unclean and touching it makes the person unclean.

And every beast that goes upon its paws, and go on all fours shall be unclean also. In addition, among the creeping things that are also unclean are the weasel, the mouse, the tortoise, the ferret, the chameleon, the lizard, the mole and the snail.   www.chaberbooks.com

The Pathway To Peace

The Pathway To Peace
In the opinion of this writer, the pathway to peace between Israel and Hamas cannot, and will not be achieved via outside intervention.
Reasons: Hamas and other groups like Hamas have vowed not to stop fighting until Israel is driven off the face of the map. That being so, the world has to understand that Hamas not Israel is the aggressor here.  That Israel has to fight for its very existence.
Secondly, both Israel and Palestine must agree to live side by side in peace, giving up all further territorial claims.
Thirdly, both Israel and Palestine must come together and realize that the real enemy here is Hamas. Palestine should turn its attention on Hamas, not Israel and drive Hamas out of their towns and cities and territory.
Fourthly either Israel by itself or both Israel and Palestine acting together should crush Hamas and spare them not, until they come to terms with Israel and promise to abandon their aggression against Israel and the rest of the world in general, but against Israel in particular. Failing this last, a ceasefire means nothing and simply puts off the inevitable.
