BRAGADAYJAH 992
Kings from everywhere came to hear the wisdom of Solomon
And Solomon was king over all Israel. And the
princes who served under Solomon included, Azariah the son of Zadok the priest;
Elihoreph and Ahiah sons of Shisha the scribe; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud
the recorder; Benaiah the son Jehoiada captain of the host; and Zadok and
Abiathar were the priests. And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers;
and Zabud a son of Nathan was the principal officer and the king’s friend. And
Ahishar was over the household and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the
tribute. And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel who provided victual
for the king and his household each man providing for a particular month in the
year. And Solomon’s provision for a day was thirty measures of fine flour, sixty
measures of meal, ten fat oxen, twenty oxen out of the pastures, one hundred
sheep and also harts, and roebucks, and fallow deer and fatted fowl. And
Solomon had dominion over both sides of the Jordan and there was peace all
around him. And Judah and Israel dwelt safely all the days of Solomon. And
Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots and twelve
thousand horsemen, and the twelve officers provided victuals for the king and
his officers. For the officers provided
barley and straw for the horses; so neither the king, nor his men, nor the
animals lacked anything. And because God gave him wisdom, he spoke three
thousand proverbs and wrote a thousand and five songs. And in his wisdom,
Solomon spoke of trees from cedar tree that grew in Lebanon, even about hyssop
which sprang out of the wall. He spoke of beasts, of the fowl of the air,
creeping things and fishes. And there came from all over the earth kings and
people from everywhere because they had heard of his exceeding wisdom.www.chaberbooks.com
