Five Reasons Why Not These are my five reasons I say Trump should not be impeached. 1 He is no longer President or High Official as per the Constitution 2 If he is impeached his pals in the Senate are sure to let him go. 3 Once he escapes impeachment, he can plead double jeopardy in any future criminal trial. 4 Even if he is found guilty on impeachment the only sanction is removal from office; but he holds no office. 5 Trump is now an ordinary citizen, and should be afforded the same criminal procedure as his co-conspirators.
