BRAGADAYJAH 826
Now
Saul told his servant that he would have to take a present for the man of God,
but that he had nothing left. And so the
servant told Saul that he had the fourth part of a shekel of silver which they
could give to the man of God so that he might tell them what way to go. At that
time it was customary in Israel that when a man went to see a man of God to
enquire of God, he would say, “Come and let us go to the seer; for that is what
a prophet was before times called.” So
Saul and his servant proceeded unto the city and headed for the place where the
man of God was. And as they went up the
hill to the city they met some young maidens going to fetch water, and enquired
of them about the seer. And they told
him that the seer was around because he had come into the city to attend a
special sacrifice along with the people. But they advised him to go quickly
before the man of God blessed the sacrifice and the people begin to eat the
sacrifice.www.chaberbooks.com
