After
the Great Battle- Saul confirmed in Kingship
After
the great slaughter of the Ammorites the people demanded of Samuel to know
those who objected to Saul reigning over Israel and demanding that they be put
to death. But Saul was against it and said, that no man should be put to death
that day; for the Lord has worked salvation in Israel. Then Samuel invited the
people to go with him to Gilgal that they may there renew the kingdom. And all the people went to Gilgal, and there
they made Saul king before the Lord in Gilgal. And there they sacrificed peace offerings
