Quo Vades America?
America every year spends billions of dollars around the world in order to buy friends and influence her enemies. One problem is those dollars are tax payer's dollars, the spending of which are neither authorized nor consented to. In fact few tax payers are appraised of this fact. Another fact is the very friends that America feeds in one decade is the enemy she has to spend more dollars fighting in the next. Yugoslavia, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Syria? To name a few.
If the stated justification for spending all these millions of dollars abroad is in order to spread democracy around the world, how about spreading a little democracy here at home? Over the last 5 or so years the big banks, have been mercilessly raping, cheating and stealing from the little fellow, mainly the middle class, the poor and the elderly. How about a little democracy for them!
Someone said recently, "America is going the way of Sodom and Gomorrah;" some say its going to hell in a basket. The question is quo vades, America, Where are you going? Does charity not still begin at home and ends abroad?
The question is, are we ready to receive the Savior should he come upon us suddenly and catches us in flagrante delicto so to speak! Doing the very thing we've been doing openly and in secret for the last n years. I am told of this woman who has been keeping another woman's husband for upwards of 15 years and swears that she will never stop until and unless God stops her. Could she be serious? God will stop her alright, and give her a trillion, trillion years burning in hell to ponder her misdeeds. I say again, Caveat Peccator. Sinner Beware.
ReplyDeleteIn answer to a question I repeat. It is true that no man knows the time or the hour. I made that plain in the book Escape or Perish. But I do say that Jesus gave us clues from which we may infer that the end is near. They are laid out in the book.But i am saying that the world events point ot that end also. The state and prevalance and rise of sin in the world. The frequency of unseasonable and unprecendented storms and disasters. the lack of love for god and the things of God. The promotion of Sodomy and and other mortal carnal sins, all point to that time of the end spoken of by Scripture and by the very lips of the Master. And yes, I do see as ominous, the year 2013, 2+0+1+3= 6, (The 6 days of labor assigned in the beginning), and 2+0+1+4 = 7 The seventh Day of rest, the Lords Day also assigned. and I say it is all very portentous. I say prepare moment by moment day by day to meet Jesus, or perish in the end.
ReplyDeleteSo it is 2:0'clock in the morning, long past my bedtime; but I am up pecking away; need to be up in about 4 hours time. So what am I doing up? The work of an Evangelist, God's work, I hope. Paul's exhortation to Timothy, (2 Tim. 4:5) "Do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry."
