BRAGADAYJAH 600

 BRAGADAYJAH 600
Secret Things belong to God: Revealed Things belong to Us.
Moses told the people, when God's anger shall be made manifest against you, even the nations shall say, "because they have forsaken the covenants of the Lord God of their fathers, which He made with them, when He brought them up out of the land of Egypt, and went and served other gods and worshiped them, God's anger was kindled against the land to bring upon it the curses that are written in the book of His law. And the Lord rooted them out of their land in anger and in wrath, and in great indignation and cast them into another land. For the secret things belong to God; but those which are revealed to us, belong to us.

BRAGADAYJAH 599
And it shall come to pass that when the man or the woman shall hear the pronouncement of all these curses, he shall say in his heart, "I shall have peace though I walk in the imagination of my heart and so add drunkenness to thirst;" But the Lord will not hear him; but rather the anger and jealousy of the Lord shall smoke against such a man; and all the curses that are written is the law shall lie upon him; and the Lord shall blot out his name from under heaven, And the Lord shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel according to the curses that are written in this book of the law. And so the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land shall say when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the Lord has laid upon it, and that the whole land is brimstone, and salt and burning, that it is not sown nor bears, nor any grass growing therein, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboim, which the Lord overthrew in His anger and wrath, even the nations shall say, "why has the Lord done so unto the land? What is the meaning of this great anger?"

Moses' Exhortation

You stand this day all of you before the Lord your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders and your officers, with all the men of Israel. Your little ones and your wives and the stranger within your gate, from the hewer of your wood to the drawer of the water. That you should enter into covenants with the Lord your God, into His oath which the Lord your God make with you this day. That He may establish you this day as a people unto Himself and that He may be unto you a God as He has said unto you and as He has sworn unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And not with you only have I made this statement and with this oath, but with him that stands here with us this day before the Lord our God and also he that is not here with us this day; for we know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt and how we came through the nations through which we passed; and we have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood, and stone, silver and gold which were among them, lest there be among you man or woman or family or tribe, whose heart turns away from the Lord this day to go and serve other gods of these nations, lest there be among you, a root which bears gall and wormwood.

Rehash of the Past

Surely God never tires of warning His people; and so now preparatory to entering into the promised land, he instructs Moses to tell the people one more time.  So Moses called them together and said to them: “You have seen all the Lord has done in Egypt before your eyes; unto Pharaoh, his servants and his lands. Also you have seen great trials, signs and miracles. Yet the Lord has not given you a heart o perceive, ears to hear and eyes to see up to this time. And I have led you forty years in the wilderness. Yet your clothes have not become old upon you, and your shoes have not become old on your feet. You have not eaten bread nor drunk wine or strong drink, so that you may know I am the Lord your God. And when you came to this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og, the king of Bashan came out against us unto battle; and we smote them. And we took their lands and gave it for an inheritance unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites and to the half tribe of Manasseh.”

Promise of World-wide Dispersion

It shall come to pass that just as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you, so the Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nothing; and you shall be plucked from the land to which you are going to possess it.   And the Lord shall scatter you among all people from the one end of the earth unto the other; and there you shall serve other gods which neither you nor your fathers have heard of, gods made of wood and stone. And among those nations you shall find no ease, neither shall the soles of your feet find rest, but the Lord will give you there trebling hearts, and failing eyes and sorrow of mind; and you shall live continually in fear. In the morning you would wish it were evening, and in the evening you would say wish it were evening. And the Lord will deliver you again to be slaves in Egypt and you shall see your homeland never again.

BRAGADAYJAH 595

The Lord gave forth this warning: “If you will not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear His wonderful and glorious name, the name of the LORD THY GOD, then the Lord shall make your plagues wonderful, and the plagues of your seed even great plagues, and of long continuance, accompanied by severe and long lasting sickness.  In addition He will bring upon you all of the diseases of Egypt of which you were afraid and they shall cling to you; and every sickness and every plague which is not written in the book of this law, even those the Lord will bring upon you until you are destroyed. And you shall be left few in number whereas you were as numberless as the stars in heaven, because you would not obey the voice of the Lord your God.”

More Effects of the Siege.

We have to understand that all of these warnings, and what have gone before and those that are yet to be pronouncements are but God telling his people what would befall them in the future, when they are in possession of the land which the Lord is about to give o them, and manifold warnings of what would happen to them if they disobeyed.  So God warned them of terrible times during the siege that would come upon them.  “You shall eat the fruit of your own body, the flesh of your sons and your daughters, so much so that the man who is tender among you and very delicate his eye shall be evil toward his brother and toward his wife and towards the remnant of his very children. The tender woman among you who would normally not normally place the sole of her feet on the ground for delicateness and tenderness, would turn upon and lust after to eat the flesh of her husband and her sons and her daughters, and towards the very baby that she has brought into the world.
