BRAGADAYJAH 351

BRAGADAYJAY 351

Concerning the Feasts.
And the Lord spoke unto the children of Israel and said: ”Concerning the feasts of the Lord, ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, for these are my feasts.”
“Six days shall work be done; but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein; it is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.”
“These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.”
“In the fourteenth day of first month at evening is the Lord’s Passover.”
“And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord; seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.”
“In the first day ye shall have a holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work therein.”
“But ye shall offer an offering by fire unto the Lord seven days; in the seventh day is a holy convocation ye shall do no servile work therein.”

BRAGADAYJAH 350

BRAGADAYJAH 350

“Moreover,” said the Lord, “when a bullock or a sheep, or a goat is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the dam; and from the eighth day thereafter it shall be acceptable as an offering made to the Lord with fire. And whether it be a cow or a ewe, you must not kill it and its young both on the same day; and when you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the Lord, offer it of your own will. And on the same day it shall be eaten up, and none of it shall be left unto the next day. I am the Lord.”
“Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel; I am the Lord who hallowed you, who brought you out of the Land of Egypt to be your Lord, I am the Lord.”
“In these instructions we see two main principles, namely: that the Lord required all offerings to him to be cleansed by water even though they were to be burnt by fire. This should instruct us that when we give our gift to the Lord, it should emanate from clean hearts and clean hands. We must cleanse ourselves and the thoughts of our heart before we can offer gifts to God which are acceptable to Him. That sacrificial gifts to God must be motivated by love and a free will offering. Not by coercion or a sense of legal obligation;

For example when you are told that if you don’t give the Lord will not bless you, or that you are giving so that you will receive back with interest, gimmicks used to generate giving, such giving is not acceptable to Almighty God. More

BRAGADAYJAH 349

And the Lord spoke further to Aaron and his sons and to the Children of Israel and said, whosoever he be of the house of Israel or of the strangers in Israel that will offer his oblation for all his vows and for all his freewill offerings which they will offer unto the Lord for a burnt offering: You shall offer at your own will a male without blemish of the beeves, of the sheep, or of the goats. But whatsoever has a blemish you shall not offer; for it will not be acceptable for you.
And whosoever offers a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the Lord to accomplish his vow, or a free will offering in beeves or sheep, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein. Blind or broken or maimed, or having a wen, or scurvy, or scabbed, ye shall not offer these unto the Lord, nor make an offering by fire of them upon the altar unto the Lord.
Either a bullock, or a lamb that has anything superfluous or lacking in his parts may be offered for a free will offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted.
Ye shall not offer unto the Lord that which is bruised, or crushed or broken or cut neither shall you make any offering thereof in your land. Neither from a stranger's hand shall ye offer the bread of your God of any of these; because their corruption is in them. They shall not be accepted for you.  More

BRAGADAYJAH 348

BRAGADAYJAH 348

We may recall and even wonder at Jesus' rebuke of the Canaanite woman when with poignant frankness he said, “It is not lawful to take the children bread and cast it to dogs.” We know that Jesus was not calling the woman a dog, or even suggesting she was so unworthy that she was beyond help. Jesus was merely reciting what the extant state of the law was. But Jesus knew that He was the fountain of grace; “for what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh.”
But now we may see clearly what Jesus meant by his words; for continuing with God's instructions to Aaron about the holy bread, we find these words of God:
“There shall no stranger eat of the holy thing: a sojourner of the priest or a hired servant may not eat of the holy thing.” So we may conclude further, that the sacred things of God are laid up for the people of God.
But the Lord also says, “if the priest buys any soul with his money, he shall eat of it; and he that is born in his house they shall eat of the meat."
“ If the priest's daughter also be married to a stranger, she shall not eat of the holy things. But if the priest's daughter be a widow, or divorced, and have no child, and is returned unto her father's house, as in her youth, she shall eat of her father's meat; but no stranger shall eat thereof.
“And if a man eats of the holy thing unwittingly, then he shall put the fifth part unto it and give it unto the priest with the holy thing.”

“And they shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel which they offer unto the Lord. More.

BRAGADAYJAH 347

BRAGADAYJAH 347

Now the Lord spoke unto Moses and told him to tell Aaron and his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they profane not His holy name concerning those things which they sanctify unto Him.
“Say unto them whoever it is of all your seed among your generation who goes unto the holy things which the children hallow unto the Lord, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul “
“Whosoever man of the seed of Aaron is a leper or has a running issue, he shall not eat of the holy things until he is clean. And whosoever touches anything that is unclean by the dead or a man whose seed goes from him, or whosoever touches any creeping thing whereby he may be made unclean or a man of whom he may take uncleanness whatever the uncleanness he has, the soul that has touches any such shall be unclean until evening and shall not eat of the holy thing until he washes his flesh with water.  And when the sun is down he shall be clean and shall afterwards eat of the holy things because it is his food.”

That which dies of itself or is torn with beasts shall not be eaten; it is defiling. They shall therefore keep my ordinances lest they bear sin for it and die.  I the lord has said it.  More

BRAGADAYJAH 346

BRAGADAYJAH 346

Moreover said the Lord, the one who is the high priest among his brethren, the one on whose head the anointing oil was poured, and who is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head or tear his clothes. Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father or his mother. Neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil is upon him.  “I am the Lord.”
And he shall take a wife in her virginity.  A widow or a divorced woman, a harlot, or profane or an adulterer, these shall he not take; but he shall take a virgin of his own people as his wife. Neither shall he profane his seed among the people; for I am the Lord.

Furthermore said the Lord, if any seed of Aaron’s has a blemish, let him not approach the altar to offer bread to God. For whosoever man he is that has a blemish, he shall not approach; a blind man, or a lame, or he who has a flat nose, or anything superfluous, Or a man who is broken footed or broken handed, or crook backed or a dwarf, or has a blemish in the eye, or scabbed or has his stones broken. No man who is a seed of Aaron or any man who has a blemish shall come near to offer the burnt offering or bread upon the altar. He can eat the bread, but may not go near the altar which is beyond the veil.  More.

BRAGADAYJAH 345

Having given detailed instructions to the people general, God then turns his attention to the priests, the sons of Aaron.
“Speak,” He says to Moses.  “Tell the children of Israel that none of them should be defiled for the dead among the people; but for his kin that is near unto him, that is his mother, his father, his son, his daughter, his brother, and for his sister that is near to him and has no husband, he may be defiled; but being a chief man among the people he must not be defiled among the people.”
“The priests shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.”
“They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God; for the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and the bread of their God they do offer; therefore they shall be holy.”
“They shall not take a wife who is a harlot or profane nor shall they take a woman put away from her husband for he is holy unto the Lord. Thou shall sanctify him therefore; for he offers the bread of thy God. He shall be holy unto thee for I the lord who sanctifies you am holy.”

“And the daughter of any priest if she profanes herself by playing the harlot she has profaned her father and shall be burnt with fire.”  More

BRAGADAYJAH 344

BRAGADAYJAH 344

And so the Lord God, the God of Abraham, and Isaac and Jacob, concluded his directions to the children of Israel concerning their need for holiness; “Ye shall not walk in the manner of the nation which I cast out before you; for they committed all these things; therefore I abhorred them.  But I have said unto you, you shall inherit their land and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey; I am the Lord your God who have separated you from other people.”
“Therefore, you shall put difference between clean beasts and unclean, between clean fowls and unclean, and you shall not make your souls abominable by beasts, or by fowls, or by any living thing that creeps on the ground which I have separated from you as unclean.”
“And you shall be holy unto me, for I, the Lord am holy; and I have separated you from other people that you shall be mine.”
“A man also or a woman who has a familiar spirit, or who is a wizard, shall surely be put to death; they shall be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them.”
So God was telling his people, I have separated you from other people, for they were unclean. They were unclean and filthy in their flesh, in how they lived and in what that ate; you must be not like them.  You are special in my sight; but you must adopt a holy life style and continue in it, and live live holy lives.
And finally he warned them to stay away from those who possess or seem to possess or practice witchcraft or wizardry; these powers, are by implication not of God; but of the devil; avoid such people and if at any time any of your people indulge in such practices, eliminate them.  More

BRAGADAYJAH 343

BRAGADAYJAH 343

The Lord details further punishment for carnal and immoral conduct as follows:
If a man has sexual contact with a beast, he shall surely be put to death and the beast shall be slain. And if a woman approaches unto a beast, and lie down therewith, thou shall kill the woman and the beast and their blood shall be upon them.
And if a man shall take his sister, his father’s daughter, or his mother’s daughter, and see her nakedness, it is wickedness and both shall be cut off in the sight of their people; he has uncovered his sister’s nakedness and he shall bear his iniquity.
And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness and shall uncover her nakedness, he has uncovered her fountain and has uncovered the fountain of her blood; and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.
And thou shall not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister, nor of thy father’s sister for they are your near kin and shall bear your iniquity.
And if a man shall lie with his uncle’s wife, he has uncovered his uncle’s nakedness, they shall bear their sin and shall die childless.
And if a man shall take his brother’s wife it is an unclean thing.  He has uncovered his brother’s nakedness they shall die childless.

You shall therefore keep all my statutes and all my ordinances that the land shall not spew you out.

BRAGADAYJAH 342

BRAGADAYJAH 342

To be sure the Lord God saw the wickedness of the Amorites, the Canaanites and others and was absolutely determined to drive them out of the land and to give the land to the children of his beloved Abraham; but God also knew that they were also a people capable of all kinds of apostasy and evil; so he warned them over and over again against doing those things which defile themselves and displease Him.
So now God said, that everyone who curse his father or his mother shall be surely put to death, and his blood shall be upon him.
The man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, even he who commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall both be put to death.
The man who lies with his father’s wife has uncovered his father’s nakedness; both of them shall be put to death. And if a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death; they have brought confusion, and their blood shall be upon them.
If a man lie with mankind as with woman both of them has committed abomination; they shall surely be put to death, their blood is on their hands.

If a man takes a wife and her mother, it is wickedness; they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they that there be no wickedness among you.  Morewww.chaberbooks.com

Prohibition against Human Sacrifices

Now the Lord told Moses to speak to the children of Israel and warn them against human sacrifices, and other idolatrous practices.
So God said, “Whosoever of the children of Israel or any person who dwells among them, who offers his child to Molech, shall be killed by being stoned to death by the people of the land.  And God said, “I will set my face against that man and will cut him off from among my people because he has sacrificed his child to Molech, thereby defiling my sanctuary, and profaning my holy name.”
“And if the people of the land in any way turn a blind eye to that man, and stone him not, then I will set my face not only against that man, but his family, and all that allow him to play the harlot by sacrificing to Molech.”
“In addition anyone that turns and follows after anyone that has a familiar spirit, or after wizards to play the harlot after them, I will cut off from among my people.”
Therefore, said the Lord, “Sanctify yourselves and be ye holy, for I am the Lord your God. Keep my statutes and do them; for I am the Lord who sanctifies you.”

BRAGADAYJAH 340

Bragadayjah 340

Not afraid of repetition, God again warns, “You shall not eat anything with the blood, nor use enchantments or observe times.”
“You shall not shave around your temples, not mar the corners of your beard.”
“You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks upon you; I am the Lord.”
“Do not prostitute your daughter to cause her to be a harlot lest the land falls to harlotry and become full of wickedness.”
“You shall keep my Sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary, for I am the Lord.”
“Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them; for I am the Lord your God.”
“If a stranger reside with you in your land, do not vex him; let him be unto you as one that was born among you; and thou shalt love him as yourself; for don’t forget, you were once sojourners in Egypt.”

“Do no injustice or unrighteousness in judgment in measure of length, weight or quantity; be just in your weights and measures; for I am the Lord.”

BRAGADAYJAH 339

BRAGADAYJAH 339

If God was a man in authority, many would dare to say, mostly behind his back of course, that he is loquacious, given the number of times he warns against the same sin time and again; but God is not a man; He is a Holy and loving Father; and he knows like all good fathers know, children are harden and forgetful, especially when it comes to doing the right thing, and need to be reminded over and over again.
So God is speaking to His people and he is saying to them for the umpteenth timer, “You shall keep my statutes.”
“Do not let your cattle gender with another type of beast.”
“Whosoever lies carnally with a bondswoman betrothed to a husband, who has never been redeemed or freed, she shall be whipped, but not put to death. Because she was not free. And the man shall make atonement for his iniquity”
“When you come into the land to which I bring you and have planted fruit trees, the fruit thereof shall be regarded by you as uncircumcised, that is to say unclean and not fit to be eaten three years. Then on the fourth year, the fruit shall be holy onto the Lord and used for his praise; but in the fifth year you may eat the fruit that the trees may increase and bear much fruit. More.

BRAGADAYJAH 338

BRAGADAYJAH 338

Interestingly, at a time when righteous and fair judgments are in the thoughts of people all across America and the rest of the world, the very next words we come to regarding God’s commandment to His people are:  “You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment; thou shall not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty; but in righteousness shall thou judge thy neighbor.”
“Thou shall not go up and down as a talebearer among the people; neither shall thou stand against the blood of thy neighbor. I am the Lord.”
“Thou shall not hate thy brother in thy heart; but thou shall surely rebuke thy neighbor and not allow sin upon him.”
“Thou shall not avenge nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people; but thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself.  I am the Lord. Thou shall keep my statutes.”  More

BRAGADAYJAH 337

BRAGADAYJAH 337

The Lord was and is concerned with the plight of the less fortunate.  So He says, “When you reap the harvest, of your land, do not wholly reap the corners of the field, nor gather the gleaning of the harvest, nor shall you glean your vineyard, or gather every grape of your vineyard; but leave them for the poor and the wayfarer; I the Lord your God command it.”
You shall not steal, or deal falsely, or lie to one another. You shall not swear by my name falsely, nor profane the name of the Lord; for I am the Lord your God.”
“You shall not defraud your neighbor, or cheat him out of the wages due to him, nor keep him working for you all night until the morning. And do not abuse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block in the way of the blind; but shall fear me, for I am the Lord your God.”

By this time of course, God had already given the children of Israel by Moses the Ten Commandments which in terms included all these latest prohibitions regarding concern for the poor and honesty in dealing one with another; but God knew the heart of men and knew their propensity to mischief; so God reiterated these things in some cases in more specific terms.

THE WAGES OF SIN
As I gaze out of my window, I see glorious sunshine. Apart from the buzzing of the a/c unit, it is quiet and peaceful. There is no sounds of raindrops, or thunder, no flashes of lightening.  There are no sounds of gun fire, mortar fire or bombs exploding; it is as they say, all quiet on the home front.
The calendar on my laptop says Sunday August 17, 2014 and I think to myself, I can hardly believe it. I can hardly believe it was not just yesterday when we were singing Noel, and it was December 2013; but even more incredulous is that my vacation time from June 6, is all spend and tomorrow, August 18 I will return to my labor; that my long vacation has turned into a short vacation; it is over.
Hanging on the wall of my bedroom in front of me is a picture; a picture of my wife Elsa and me that we took just 1 year before she passed.  It was on a Sunday morning just like this when we went on a love boat ride, promising to do it again, neither of us knowing in the faintest way, what the future had in store for us. That was seven years ago and again, it seems like yesterday.
So I ask myself, where did the time go, or rather where has it gone? When we ride a car, a train, a bus, a plane, we can hear the noisesome revving of the engine, and feel the movement of motion.  But old father time is noiseless and motionless. It does not give us any warning or sign of its going or coming, no signal of its passing; it just flows inexorably on.  We go to bed it is here; and we wake up it is gone. Such is the nature of time.  But where is it going?
Thinking of tomorrow, I know where I am going or rather where I plan to go; to work; and why work? Well because I hope to receive wages.  Yes I do lots of charitable work; but tomorrow, I do expect to receive some wages for the work I am going to do, which brings me, howbeit a long way round, to the point I was leading up to all along; that during our life’s journey we are all engaged in another kind of work. The fact is we are all tenants on Almighty God’s creation, and as such, we are called upon to work for the Landlord, the Creator of it all; and eventually we will receive our reward, our wages.
Unlike the work we do for a living, this work we do for our dying.  The work that determines our wages after death. The work we do for God, good works or the works we do for Satan, sinful works. And it is this work that determines the kind of wages we receive; the type of reward we receive. We can do good works and get the reward of eternal life with Christ, or do evil, that is to say sinful works, and receive the reward of eternal death and hell; and so it is written, “The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Rom. 6:23)

Were it not for clocks, and watches, and calendars, and other time keeping devices, time would just keep rolling on unawares and many of us would have no idea what time it is, what day or week or month or year it is; but we have the means of keeping track of time; and we see how quickly the years pass. We see the sunrise each morning and we see the sun set every evening; so apart from time keeping/measuring devices we know that time is marching on; so consciously or unconsciously, we know that time is carrying us forward to that time that moment when we will be called upon to give an account of our lives, and to receive our wages according to we have done good or done evil; for at that time, whether we like them or not, we will receive our wages.

BRAGADAYJAH 336

BRAGADAYJAH 336

And so the Lord God instructed the children of Israel how to build and worship in his tabernacle, how to obtain atonement for sin, how to treat bodily illnesses, and what not to do that would defile themselves in the eyes of the Lord, that they may not be cut off from His presence; so now the Lord God commanded Moses His servant and Aaron the priest, to say unto the children of Israel, “Ye shall be holy, for I the Lord your God, am holy. Let every man fear his father and his mother, and keep my Sabbaths; for I am the Lord your God. Do not turn unto idols, nor make to yourself melted Gods; I am the Lord your God.”

Also the Lord repeated His earlier admonition regarding the peace offering. He said to them, “ if you offer a sacrifice of peace offering unto the Lord, you must do it willingly of your own heart. And it shall be eaten the same day and the next day after it is offered if any is left over to the third day it shall be burnt by fire. And not be eaten; for if any part of it shall be eaten on the third day, it is an abomination unto the Lord. And anyone who profanes this sacred thing of the Lord’s to eat it on the third day shall bear his iniquity and shall be cut off, because he has profaned the hallowed thing of the Lord. More

BRAGADAYJAH 335

BRAGADAYJAH 335

This list of sexual abominable practices may seem to some of no great consequence, especially those who practice and advocate the practice of sexual deviation; but a knowledge of God would reveal how absolutely God regarded those practices and how completely He deals with those who practice them.
Centuries early, God had a conversation with Abraham, and said. “Know for sure that your seed shall dwell in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them and be afflicted 400 years. And also that nation whom they serve I will judge, and after that they shall come out with great substance.”
“And you Abram shall go to your fathers in peace, for you shall be buried at a good old age; but in the fourth generation they shall come here again for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.”
The implication is that God was referring to this very list of abominable practices performed by the Canaanites whom God and completely destroyed form the land and had given to the Israelites.  So God now enumerated these offenses and warned, “for all these abominations have the men of the land done who were before you and the land is defiled.”
So that homosexuality and sexual immorality the Lord said, defiles the land and if the land becomes defiled because of your abominable practices, the land will spew you out; for whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that do them shall be cut off from among those who are called my people.”

Again, this is what God is saying, “If you do any of those things, you can no longer call yourself my people; you are no longer my people. Could anything be clearer? More

BRAGADAYJAH 334

BRAGADAYJAH 334

Having given the several prohibitions against sex within the prohibited degrees of blood relations, the Lord also set forth prohibitions against unlawful lust as follows:
14     Also you shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness as long as she is set apart for her uncleanness.
15     You must not lie carnally with your neighbor’s wife to defile thyself with her.
16     Thou shall not let any of your seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shall you profane the name of your God; I am the Lord.
17     Thou shall not lie with mankind as with womankind; it is abomination.
18     Neither shall you lie with any beast to defile yourself therewith neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down therewith; it is confusion.
19     Defile yourself not in any of these things; for in all of these things the Nations are defiled which I cast out before you.
These last 5 things, together with the previously mentioned 13 things, 18 in all, God said the nations, the heathens, the infidels did and for their filthiness, I cast them out from the land, and gave their lands to you; therefore, don’t you be doing those things.
The prohibitions are 18 altogether, and I would like to challenge any man to say that any moral man should feel comfortable doing any of them.  Would a man have sexual relations with his mother, his sister, his daughter?  Would any woman feel comfortable have sex with her father, her brother, or her son?  Was God right to specifically prohibit such things, and if He is right, was he not also correct with regard to the prohibitions regarding homosexuality and bestiality?  And look what God calls ii? Abomination! Was he referring to Obama’s Nation, America?  More

BRAGADAYJAH 333

BRAGADAYJAH 333

Yesterday under Bragadayjah 332, I listed 5 prohibitions ordained by Almighty God against sexual contact within the prohibited degrees of relationship.  Today I continue to look at other commands, “Thou shalt not,” by God in that regard.
6       The nakedness of your father’s wife’s daughter begotten of your father; she is your sister; you shall not uncover her nakedness.
7       The nakedness of your father’s sister; she is your father’s kinswoman.
8       The nakedness of your mother’s sister; for she is your mother’s near kinswoman.
9       The nakedness of thy father’s brother; thou shall not approach unto his wife; for she is your aunt.
10     The nakedness of your daughter-in-law; for she is your son’s wife. You shall not uncover her nakedness.
11     Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife. It is your brother’s nakedness.
12     Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, nor her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter; for they are her kinswomen; it is wickedness. This one is very interesting, because I have often heard the boast, I believe we all have, “taking mother and daughter,” even worse, “mother and daughters.”  But hear what God says, “it is wickedness.”
13     Neither shall you take a wife to her sister, to vex her to uncover her nakedness in your wife’s life time. This too is wickedness
So God has named these 13 prohibitions; but there are more.

BRAGADAYJAH 332

The Lord God is not slack concerning his promises, neither is he lack concerning His commandments to His people.  In directing his people towards a life of holiness, He was very detailed and as has been said earlier, these commandments of the Lord were never vitiated.
So now, the Lord says to Moses again, speak unto the children of Israel and remind them, “I am the Lord your God.”
“And after the doings of the people of the land of Egypt wherein you lived and which I brought you from, you shall not do neither shall you do after the ways of the Canaanites to whose land I have brought you; do not do like any of them nor walk according to their laws and customs.
You shall be careful to do and to keep only my laws, my ordinances and my commandments. For if a man does according to my statutes, my laws, my ordinances and my commandments he shall live in keeping them.
God then lists a number of inter-personal relationships and practices which He absolutely prohibited and are as follows:
1                   None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to you to uncover their nakedness: For I am the Lord.
2                   The nakedness of your father or the nakedness of your mother shall you not uncover; for she is your parent.
3                   The nakedness of your father’s wife you shall not uncover, it is the same as the nakedness of your father.
4                   The nakedness of your sister, whether the daughter of your father or the daughter of your mother, born at home or born abroad, their nakedness you shall not uncover.

5                   The nakedness of your son’s daughter, or of your daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness you must not uncover. More.

Prohibition Against Eating of Blood

“And whatsoever man there is of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourn among you who eats any manner of blood, I will surely set my face against that person that eats blood, and cut him off from among his people.”
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes an atonement for your soul.”
The Lord God went to great lengths to emphasize and explain His absolute prohibition against the eating of blood.
For He says, “it is the life of all flesh, and the blood of it is for the life thereof; therefore I have said to the children of Israel, you shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh for the life of the flesh is the blood thereof and whosoever eats it shall be cut off.”
God is being very specific about His people not eating blood. We may understand why when we understand in a broader sense the significance of the life and the blood. For example, that the value of the life is the equivalent of the value of the blood. Therefore, this applies to the blood of Christ its inconceivable value, for it was shed by a sinless God/Man to save man.
God also explained that the blood was allowed to be used on the altar as a mark of the atonement and every such offering was an execution of the sentence of the law upon a substitute for the offender, and pointed to the substitutionary death of Christ whose blood alone vindicated the righteous judgment of God. For as the song-writer penned, “There was no other good enough to pay the price of sin; He only could unlock the gate of heaven and lest us in.”  More

BRAGADAYJAH 330

BRAGADAYJAH 330

Now the Lord spoke unto Moses and said to him, “Speak unto Aaron and his sons, and unto all the children of Israel and say to them:  “This is what the Lord has commanded saying, any man of the house of Israel who kills an ox, or lamb or goat in the camp, or kills it outside the camp and does not bring it unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the Lord, before the tabernacle of the Lord, blood shall be imputed to him; for he has shed blood and that man should be cut off from among his people.”
“To the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices which they offer in the open field, even that they may bring them unto the Lord unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation unto the priest, and offer them as peace offerings unto the Lord.”
“And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet savor unto the Lord.”

“And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto demons after whom they have played the harlot.  This shall be a statute forever unto them throughout their generation.  And any man who whether of the house of Israel or a sojourner within his house, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice and bring it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation to offer it unto the Lord shall be cut off from among the people.  More  www.chaberbooks.com

THE BANE OF BLACK AMERICA

THE BANE OF BLACK AMERICA
Another black youth bites the dust, shot in the head. To my knowledge he had no prior offence, or warrant, or conviction. He was shot in the head which means he was accused by a policeman who immediately appointed himself judge, jury and executioner.  This is not an isolated incident; it is the norm in America. The police’s main goal is to arrest and when possible kill every black man, particularly every black youth in sight.  And in saying that the police are the bane of Blacks in America, I say let the facts speak for themselves.
Here is another young man with his whole life ahead of him; according to his grandmother he had ambitions of going on to college and maybe even beyond; but he is dead; and what for?  The police says he ran.  But running is not a crime, at least not a crime worthy of death without trial.  But as I have said this is the norm.
And what about the assassin?  He is not arrested, not charged, not condemned.  He is rewarded.  He is told to go and cool his heals while they try to find some excuses for his murder. Not that they have to; but they need to keep up appearances. They call it suspension with full pay; but they fool no one, at least they don’t fool me.
The truth is the average police is trained to deal with black men in the most extreme manner possible.  That is why they are justified each time they kill.  And who are a lot of these policemen?  They are no other than those men who used to wear their white hoods, who have now exchanged their cowardly regalia for a bold police uniform.
If I use words like murder and assassination, I do so knowingly and intentionally; because I know that’s what it is.  I have some personal knowledge and training in the use of firearms and I know from personal experience that if an unarmed man was running away, and you really wanted to stop him, If you really had to stop him, you could do so without shooting him in the head.  You shoot a man in the head when you aim to kill him.  And why kill him?  Well as I’ve said, it is part of the police’s modus operandi; and also it conforms to the old saying, “dead men tell no tales.”
On the other hand in military training, you are taught, shoot at the largest part of the body, not the head. Shooting at the head increases the chances of missing; so shoot at the body, preferable the chest area.  Do we know who practice shooting at the head? Murders and Assassins! They shoot to kill that is their training.
Having said all of that, I am also aware that the wheels of self-destruction are in motion. In my book Escape Or Perish The Rapture, I detailed two visions of the end times I was privileged to have, and decided to write about them in general and the end times, that period of time after Christ would have taken the Church and the Holy Spirit out of the way, in particular. One of those visions mirrored the state of utter hopelessness and destruction when bodies were piled high on the streets all over America; bodies of black people and later anyone else slaughtered on sight or wherever they could be found by marauding bands of cut throats and hooligans.
That’s why I urge all Black people living in America to get saved, or leave America before Christ comes; because you just would not want to be left behind in America.

For now there is a semblance, just a mere semblance, of law and order and protection for blacks; but then there will be no law or order for anyone and especially not for blacks.

BRAGADAYJAH 329

BRAGADAYJAH 329

So the holy place and the tabernacle of the congregation had been atoned for and the scapegoat let lose into the wilderness, and the blood of the bullock for a sin offering and the goat for a sin offering had been sprinkled to make atonement. And the carcass, the flesh, the skin and the dung, shall be carried out of the holy place, to a place outside of the camp, and burnt .  And the person who does the burning must first wash his clothes and bathe his flesh in water before returning to the camp.
And this shall be a statute forever.  On the seventh month on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your soul and do no work at all whether it be one of your own country, an Israelite, or a stranger that dwells among you.
And on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you that you may be clean from all your sins before the Lord. It shall be a Sabbath of rest unto you and you shall afflict your soul by a statute forever.

And the priest who had been anointed and consecrated shall make the atonement having put on his priestly garments. He shall make an atonement for the holy sanctuary, for the tabernacle of the congregation and for the altar, and for the priesthood and all the people of the congregation. And hereafter, once a year, atonement shall be made for the sins of all the congregation of Israel. More

BRAGADAYJAH 328

The Law of the Scapegoat.
Aaron was commanded that when he would have finished atoning for the holy place, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and of the altar, he shall take in the live goat, and confess over it all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, and their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and sending it away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness.
And the goat shall bear upon it, all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited, and he shall let go the goat into the wilderness.
And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation and shall put off the linen garments which he put on when he went into the holy place and leave them there.
And he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place and put on his garments and come out and offer his burnt offering and the burnt offering of the people and make an atonement for himself and for the people. And the fat of the sin offering he shall burn on the altar
And the one who had taken the goat into the wilderness shall before returning to the camp wash his flesh and his clothes in clean water.   More

BRAGADAYJAH 327

BRAGADAYJAH 327

Next Aaron as a sin offering for himself shall kill the bullock which is for a sin offering for himself and his house, and he shall take a censor full of burning coals of fire from off the altar which is before the Lord, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten fine and he shall bring it within the veil; and he shall put the incense upon the fire before the Lord that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimony that he dies not.
Then he must take the blood of the bullock and sprinkle it with his finger upon the mercy seat eastward and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle the blood seven times.
Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering that is for the people and bring its blood within the veil and do with it as he did with the blood of the bullock and sprinkle it upon and before the mercy seat.
And he shall make an atonement for the holy place because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel and because of their transgression in all their sins and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation that remains among them in the midst of their uncleanness.
And no man shall enter the tabernacle of the congregation until he has made an atonement for himself and his household and for the congregation of Israel.

And he, the priest, shall go out unto the altar that is before the Lord, and make an atonement for it, and shall take the blood of the bullock and of the goat and put it upon the horns of the altar; and sprinkle with his finger the blood seven times and cleanse and hallow it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.  More

BRAGADAYJAH 326

BRAGADAYJAH 326

The Day of Atonement
And the Lord spoke to Moses after the death of Aaron’s two sons and told him to tell Aaron his brother, never to appear at any time into the holy place within the veil of the temple before the mercy seat which is upon the ark that he may not die. For said the Lord, “I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.  Only thus shall Aaron come into the holy place; he shall bring a young bullock for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.  He shall put on the holy linen coat, and the linen breeches upon his flesh, and be girdled with a linen girdle and the linen miter; these are holy garments; therefore before he puts them on, he shall wash his flesh in water.”
“He shall also take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering and one ram for a burnt offering.  And Aaron shall offer his bullock for a sin offering for himself, and make atonement for himself and his household.”

“And he shall take the two goats and present them before the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And he shall cast lots upon the two goats, one lot for the Lord and the other for a scapegoat. And he shall then take the goat upon which the Lord’s lot fell and offer it as a sin offering. But the goat upon which the lot fell to be the scapegoat shall be presented alive before the Lord to make an atonement with it and let it go for a scapegoat into the wilderness. More

BRAGADAYJAH 325

BRAGADAYJAH 325

When it came to women, the Lord told Moses and Aaron about female illnesses too.  So it was provided that if a woman had an issue of blood for many days beyond the time of her separation, or if she runs many days beyond that time, all her days shall be as the day of her separation and she shall be unclean.
Every bed whereupon she laid, during the period of her issue shall be as per her bed of separation; and whatsoever she sits upon shall be unclean. And whosoever touches those things shall be unclean, and shall wash clothes and bathe self in water and shall be unclean until the evening.
And after she is cleansed of her issue, that is to say after the issue stops, she shall count out seven days after which she shall be clean. And on the eight day she shall take to herself two turtledoves or two young pigeons and bring them to the priest at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation And the priest shall offer the one as a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering and the priest shall make an atonement for her for the issue of her uncleanness.

And the Lord said, “Thus shall you separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness that they die not in their uncleanness, when they defile my tabernacle that is among them. The foregoing is the law for the man who had an issue, and of the woman in her uncleanness due to her issue and of him who lies with her while she is unclean. More

BRAGADAYJAH 324

Before continuing further, I find it necessary to pause and point out one salient, undeniable, but often overlooked, fact, especially today; that all sin must be atoned. In this regard there is no change in God’s law; so it was then when God was instructing the children of Israel regarding sin and its atonement, so it still is today. The only difference is the method of, not the need for, atonement.  Then it was by the flood of sheep and goat, bulls and rams and birds; but since the death and resurrection of Jesus, it is his All-Sufficient blood and His alone.
Since, therefore, leprosy and diseases such as running out of the flesh were symbolic of sin, so, then all such had to be atoned by a sin offering.
Running is not described with any degree of certainty or particularity; but from all the surrounding facts it does appear to be what we now know to be gonorrhea. It maybe a little surprising to learn that way back then such ailments were known; but then again it may be that God was merely being proactive and providing a remedy in advance.
Be that as it may, however, we see that there was a provision for atonement in the case of the man who had that terrible disease in his body to the extent he was taken as having contaminated his house.  He too, had to provide two birds, two young pigeons or two turtledoves, and cedar wood and scarlet and hyssop and the priest would do with the birds that which he had done formerly to cleanse the leper of his leprosy. The law was the same for all manner of diseases of the flesh be it leprosy, scabies, running and such like eruptions and breaking outs of the flesh of man.  More

BRAGADAYJAH 323

BRAGADAYJAH 323

Continuing to instruct Moses and Aaron about human diseases, the Lord spoke unto Moses and Aaron saying, Tell the children of Israel that when any man has a running issue coming out of him, he shall be unclean.  And every bed that he lies on, everything he sits on, whatsoever he touches shall be unclean. And if any one touches his bed or his clothing he shall be unclean also and shall bathe himself and wash his clothes and be unclean until evening.
And anyone who touches the flesh of an unclean person shall be unclean and shall bathe himself and wash his clothes in water and shall be unclean until the evening.
Anyone who sits on the unclean person’s saddle or anything else that was under him, or touches any of those things of the unclean person shall be unclean and similarly had to bathe himself and wash his clothes and remain unclean until evening.
After the person who had the issue becomes clean, then he shall count seven days at the end of which he shall bathe himself and wash his clothes in running water. More

BRAGADAYJAH 321

BRAGADAYJAH 321

As has been said leprosy typifies sin and so a trespass offering and burnt offering on cleansing.
Also the Lord demanded that the house of the leper should also be cleansed. This symbolizes the need for the sinner man to be cleansed within and without. To be cleansed without by water, and within by the Holy Spirit.
“When ye are come into the land of Canaan which I have given you for a possession,” said the Lord, “and I put the plague of leprosy in a house in the land of Canaan, and if the owner of the house shall report to the priest that there appears to be a plague in the house, the priest shall, before entering into it, command that the house be first emptied. Then having entered, the priest was to look at the walls of the house, and seeing certain signs, streaks on the walls, he shall go out of the house and shut it up seven days. And if after seven days on entering the house the priest sees that the plague has spread, he shall order that the stones of the house be broken down and cast into an unclean place set aside for the purpose outside the city.

After the walls would have been broken down and the stones carried outside of the city, the house would be re-built with fresh stones and re-plastered.  More
